About the project

In your role, as part of the IPF Digital Hub Data Analytics team, you will be a hands-on, commercially focused BI Analyst that gets a buzz from seeing a direct link between results of your work in the area of data technology and the bottom line whilst working across a broad range of operational areas. You will work closely and act also as a middleman between IPF Digital functions (credit risk, finance, collections, sales, CRM, and marketing) and the technology area. This will be a varied role so you will need to be comfortable managing, analyzing, and visualizing data, developing software, and providing and presenting recommendations for strategic decisions and actions.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide advanced analytical support as required on an ad hoc basis

  • Build end-to-end automated reporting and analytical solutions using Python, SQL (MySQL and T-SQL), VBA, shell scripts, Excel, BI software, and scheduling tools

  • Develop and maintain data structures and software components of team’s reporting system

  • Build ETL and data processing flows

  • Design clear data visualizations and report layouts

  • Participate in machine learning and statistical model development projects

  • Assist in the development of methodologies for forecasting business KPIs and processes

  • Introduce new technologies and tools to improve and enhance Team’s toolset

  • Get stuck into the detail, noticing key trends and patterns across the business KPIs landscape and quickly acting upon them, getting a real buzz from recommending and implementing new strategies and approaches to further support customer growth

  • Present reports, analyses and recommendations to the team and business area leaders

  • Maintain and ensure effective and high-quality reporting, being open to challenge and feedback

Our requirements

  • 4+ years of experience working in data analytics and business intelligence domain

  • Master’s Degree in Quantitative Methods / Computer Science / Data Analytics / Big Data or another quantitative field

  • Qualified data technology enthusiast

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (preferred T-SQL and MySQL)

  • Advanced knowledge of Python

  • An Expert in MS Excel (preferably including VBA)

  • Familiarity with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, Grafana etc.)

  • Knowledge of database programming as well as query optimization

  • Relevant technical knowledge within data engineering and DWH usage

  • Thorough knowledge of data analytics and reporting techniques

  • Having a qualification in statistics would help you in this role

  • High level ability to interpret complex performance data; identify and deliver priority actions; evaluate the impact and risks of change

  • Ability to explain advanced analytical concepts and results to a non-technical audience

  • Project management skills being able to be involved in multiple projects at the same time effectively

  • Preferably worked in Financial Service (Fintech a plus)

  • Fluent in verbal and written business English (essential)

Your Purpose

This amazing opportunity offers a once in a lifetime chance to be part of the on the HUB Analytics Team responsible for rapidly growing our digital lending business. This is a new role with a broad remit to manage and leverage data from all sources in order to drive the rapid growth and expansion of the digital emerging market - you will work as part of the Hub IPF Digital Analytics Team.

Your role purpose is to work in the analytical part providing recommendations for the strategic decisions and actions. As the Credit BI Analyst, you will work closely and act as a middleman between the external partners (sales and marketing) and IPF Digital functions (credit, collections). It is your responsibility to align the different data requests as well as the different data sources within the organization and stimulate external partners to ensure they move in the right direction. Therefore, you need to understand both sides of the coin. This business will be ambitious and hungry for innovation.

You will be a hands-on, commercially focused data specialist that gets a buzz from seeing the link between what you do and the bottom line whilst working across a broad area of operational areas. This will be a varied role so you will need to be comfortable managing data and BI analysis, working with sales and marketing teams, and making suggestions for improvements and enhancements. This risk comes in different forms, ensuring an effective performance that can evolve and adapt with our needs, monitoring and evaluating arrears management strategies to manage credit loss, systems, governance and reporting, and the effective use of systems and partners for all elements of risk management.
