About the project

To accomplish our company strategy, our B2B matching team is looking for a Big Data Developer in Berlin, Brussels, London and Warsaw. In this position, you will work closely with data scientists to build end-to-end model-based pipelines and automate procedures. This includes data preparation, building & deploying data model services, data validation, designing & implementing & deploying pipelines for different B2B use cases and service maintenance.

Your responsibilities

  • You will translate business requirements into working products with end-to-end responsibility for product development and delivery within your organization.

  • You will work independently to design, implement, deploy and maintain state-of-the-art data processing frameworks, technologies, and platforms for different business use cases

  • You will support data scientists to build, deploy and maintain and test data-driven products and features

  • You will improve existing products by reviewing their architecture, design and optimizing their performance

  • You will collaborate closely with other big data developers, devops, data scientists, architects, and decision-makers to build solutions and gain novel insights

Our requirements

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields (eg, Computer Science, Big Data, etc.) or have at least 2- or 3-years’ industry experience

  • You are familiar with at least 2 following programming languages: Java, Python, Scala

  • You have experience setting up recommender systems. Although you might not have a background in our field, bringing knowledge and experience from other fields is merited.

  • You have experience working with AWS (eg, OpenSearch, AWS ambda, AWS Batch, SQS/SNS, etc.)

  • You have experience with CI/CD and have knowledge of some infrastructure as a code tool (eg. terraform) and have a significant knowhow of data-architecture and data-infrastructure.

  • You have knowledge of Apache Spark or PySpark

  • It is nice to have if you have experience with Elasticsearch or similar technology

  • You have an analytics and solution oriented mindset.

  • You are a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative, agile environment

  • You have good communication skills in both spoken and written English
