Business Analyst - Functional Consultant

TEAM OVERVIEW

The Refinitiv Professional Services team implements software solutions that are focused on a range of cutting edge technologies that help financial institutions. The solutions include vital components of Data Model, Client Hierarchy, Workflow, Business Rules, Data Management, and Document Management.

Business Analysts/Functional Consultants are domain specialists for customized implementations of Refinitiv products and solutions. They often are the main point of contact for our clients, guiding them on designing and implementing solutions to their objectives.

The projects that are in the scope of the team members include implementing software for new clients, growing the product offering for existing clients, and improving capabilities of the core platform. Consultants are exposed to the full software development life-cycle. Over time, they have the opportunity to increase their level of client exposure or to focus more on the technical development of the system.

SOME OF THE DAILY TASKS YOU WILL PERFORM:

  • Deliver against Professional Services revenue targets with a focus on achieving agreed utilisation and profitability
  • Drive revenue by providing the required support to our Sales team in the area of pre-sales
  • Contribute & participate in Solution Design Process; engage with Proposition, Technology and Product teams on bids/deals
  • Analyse sophisticated business objectives and requirements to design and implement solutions using agreed standard methodologies
  • Document solutions in a logical format that is easy to understand by both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Configure solutions using GUI & scripting tools
  • Own and lead assigned portfolio of projects
  • Develop and test client implementations
  • Provide outstanding post-implementation support (including troubleshooting, maintenance, and training)
  • Mentor a team of junior consultants/project managers in delivering client solutions
  • Act as a SPOC for assigned client engagements

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?

  • Several years of confirmed experience in consultancy and/or business analysis
  • Demonstrable experience in large scale software implementations
  • Knowledge of software implementation methodologies & lifecycle
  • Experience in project management of software implementations
  • Good understanding of software architecture & API frameworks
  • Knowledge of cloud-based implementations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High accountability to work independently assuring excellent client service
  • Readiness to travel on business (refers to the future after pandemic period). Travel requirements may vary but

YOU WILL BE EVEN MORE COMPETITIVE IF:

  • You have experience in Financial Crime/AML/Cloud solutions
  • You worked directly with the external customers across diverse groups
  • You can read and build technical documentation
  • You have implementation experience within a regulated or financial services sector
