About the project

Business Analyst is responsible for collecting requirements from a wide selection of internal customers in all PwC territories, and documenting these in a way that facilitates the development and testing of the reporting platform to support their information needs. The person will collaborate with respective Business Leads, territory finance teams and technology stakeholders to work out relevant requirements for territory reporting and elaborate appropriate documentation in alignment with Accounting and PwC Global standards.

Your responsibilities

  • Elicit, document and communicate solution business requirements (functional and non-functional) through the application of a range of business analysis techniques

  • Lead interactive review sessions with stakeholders on the proposed “to be” processes, and update/adjust based on inputs received. This includes tailoring the discussions to both senior leadership and operational leaders, managers, and team members

  • Interpret differing business needs and terminology into a common understanding that are documented as business requirements.

  • Integrate with Agile project teams as business driven business analyst and support the Information Workstream in representing the business and service perspectives within the teams

  • Write and prioritize the user stories/requirements on the project backlog in Azure DevOps; review and approve user stories for completeness

  • Create product documentation, form focus groups and conduct workshops to elicit and capture requirements in detail.

Our requirements

  • 2+ years’ management information experience as a Business Analyst, gained from a business perspective, within business intelligence and data projects

  • Proficiency in data modeling focused on building enterprise scale analytical solutions

  • Working knowledge of SAP financial reporting (or other ERP, preferably cloud-based, systems)

  • Proven negotiation skills working above and below and outside of own role

  • Excellent written and oral communication, comprehension and advocacy skills and a demonstrable ability to communicate confidently with customers, users, internal management at all levels of the business

  • Requirements elicitation on medium to large scale data-centric projects/programmes

  • Workshop and working group facilitation

  • Creation and maintenance of a range of analysis artifacts in support of requirements definition

  • Ability to manage own time to tight deadlines

  • Experience with Scrum, writing user stories, prioritizing and managing backlogs and end user-testing

  • Previous experience in creating documentation of workflows, process maps, procedures and business requirements documents

  • Experience working in professional services/ accountancy/financial services sector, with a good command of finance and accounting principles and processes

  • Fluent English in speaking and writing

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Power BI applications would be beneficial
