Business Analyst – Scenarios Programme -
Traded Risk
Location: Kraków

Accountabilities:

  • Supporting the business in assessing current state operating model and translating strategy into target operating models, considering the impacts on business process, technology and other key factors.
  • Business analysis to support successful delivery of Traded Risk projects.
  • Requirements gathering, documentation, working with multiple stakeholder teams (Traded Risk and GRA) stakeholders to capture and break down requirements into rigorous level detail to promote into execution.
  • Define, creative solutions options, document and develop targeted benefits for a change intervention.
  • Close working with IT stakeholders to design optimal technical solutions to deliver to stakeholder requirements.
  • Translating business requirements to functional requirements ensuring that IT team fully understand functionality required.
  • Ensure that the testing phases are adequately planned for, test cases are fully documented with agreed acceptance criteria and rigid issues tracking and test management carried out through testing phase.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • In depth knowledge of large, global system infrastructure projects within either a business change or an IT capacity and good understanding of Information Technology trends, vendors and infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities including the ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and apply sound business and technical domain knowledge.    
  • Have an in depth understanding of Risk management practices and processes, in particular:
    - Solid knowledge of Market Data, Time Series and Risk Factors definitions
    - Extensive knowledge of Market Risk Measure calculations (including sensitivities, VAR and stress measures) policies, practices and business process
    - Solid knowledge of FRTB regulation and its implications and requirements associated to Market Data, Time Series and Scenario Generation
    - Good knowledge of Financial Markets, good asset class knowledge including Traded Derivatives
    - Good knowledge of End to end processes relating to trade booking, market risk mgmt. limit monitoring and linkage to Finance and Product Control processes
    - Trade/market events and how they affect market data and risk measures
    - Exposure to CVA and CVA VAR calculations
    - Experience using Clarity and JIRA
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) - the ability to communicate efficiently at a global level is paramount.
  • Pragmatic decision making capability; hands on approach required and willingness to take personal accountability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships.
