Job Overview:
The Candidate on this role will be responsible for the design, creation and implementation of global business end-to-end information processes & reporting in our Company.
As a Business Data Analyst, you’re expected to face the business users (data owners), understand their requirements, challenge them and then design a solution that will bring value to the whole company. A nice balance of business focus and data skills is key in this role.
BUSINESS DATA ANALYST
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct deep dive analyses, data profiling & data transformation rules and proposing solutions for data visualization
- Data modeling based on the needs of the customer
- Data analysis to understand the gaps between the existing data and the goal
- Data quality rules to validate and improve the master data
- Create business blue print describing the proposed solution
- Perform repository exercises, naming conventions and normalization
- Create SAP BI queries or design other sources with the collaboration of ICS department
- Build the information process, including enrichment of data using Microsoft relational access data bases.
- Design the end user reports in Microsoft excel or Power BI
- Support the data consumer with user documentation and training
- Implement “exception and quality” reports to guarantee data integrity, correct figures, charts & calculations
- First point of contact for all business related questions
The desired profile:
- Fluent English, any additional European language (Dutch) is a plus.
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
- Min 5 years work experience in Business Data Management, translating data into valuable information and Reporting
- Excellent communication and listening skills. Strong conceptual, methodical and strategic thinking as well as the ability to adapt in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- SAP R/3 and BI query knowledge
- Proficiency in Excel-Access-Power BI
- Accuracy and ability to follow-up and tracking
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
- Work independently and with others - relation building
- Problem solving, analytical skills - critical thinking
- Ability to learn and understand complex technical issues quickly
- Exceptional organizational & time management skills
- A positive attitude, innovative and creative thinker
