Your responsibilities
An outstanding opportunity to join the Model Risk Management as a Financial Manager in one of our locations in India or Poland. The role provides a multi-faceted working environment, with frequent exposure to senior management and opportunities to partner with various CRO, CFO & HR functions on financial, headcount and vendor management.
In your role, you will be responsible for:
* Supporting MRM N-2/N-3 Management with execution of MRM Book of Work, strategic initiatives and regulatory remediation actions, while ensuring adequate staffing and maintaining financial discipline
* Management of MRM budget and headcount incl. but not limited to:
* Preparing and analyzing monthly expense reports, reclass and accruals for expenses such as consultants, contractors or reclaims
* Preparing monthly forecast reports, presentations and ad-hoc analysis for senior management on budget utilization, forecast and resourcing
* Preparing monthly headcount forecasts for ~160 staff
* Monitoring open roles, ongoing collaboration with MRM hiring managers and recruitment teams to execute the MRM hiring pipeline
* Monitoring and projecting attrition
* Management of MRM reporting hierarchy – collaborating with MRM managers to execute the organizational changes
* Contribution to MRM regulatory dialogue by providing periodic updates on MRM resourcing
* Negotiation, execution and monitoring of contracts with vendors and contingent workers
* Contribution to wider COO initiatives in areas of Human Capital, Training & Development
* Disseminating periodic updates to MRM staff, comprising cascades from the management team, HR, Training & Development, etc.

This role is an impactful position in Model Risk Management COO team, responsible for management of MRM budget, headcount and delivery of MRM Human Capital Strategy. Model Risk Management (MRM) is an independent review function comprising ~160 staff based in multiple countries (US, UK, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, India, Singapore & Hong Kong). MRM is responsible for reviewing all model use firm-wide, setting and enforcing model governance standards, performing independent technical validation, measuring and managing model risk and reporting on model risk to senior management and supervisors. Our requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or related studies, a recognized qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) will be an asset
3-5 years of proven work experience in finance, budgeting and forecasting ideally with experience in the financial industry
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in English
Ability to explain complex matters in an accessible way and with focus on aspects most relevant to the specific audience
Analytical and problem solving skills to identify key issues and propose appropriate actions
Proficiency in MS Excel (Macros a plus) and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure
Willingness to learn and obtain new knowledge and experience
Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to work against deadlines with the highest degree of accuracy
