About the project
Pitney Bowes Product Launch and Lifecycle team is seeking candidate that will curate data for analyses, portfolio reviews and operational reporting demands, and manages an analytics platform for our Service organization to monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights in support of our customers.
Our team is seeking a seasoned BI Engineer who has demonstrated ability to utilize metrics, statistical analysis, and visualization tools to dive deep into complex issues while deriving actionable results from operational and enterprise data. A successful candidate has outstanding business acumen, a restlessness to answer "why?" questions, and are passionate about using data to drive decision making.
In this role, our Business Intelligence Engineer will work with cross functional partners to determine business requirements, establish priorities, define key performance indicators (KPI), and further enhance our analytics strategy. This includes working software development teams to design and document data structures, dashboards, alerts, and reports. This individual will provide critical insight and deep dive analytics into areas such as operational process improvement.
Your responsibilities
Utilize Power BI as the catalyst for analytics, deploying, and maintaining interfaces. Those include query tools, data visualization and interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modeling tools.
Assist with the design and development of cube \ metadata using best practices.
Build a business acumen on product coding schemas and maturing product code mappings.
Ability to diagnose report issues and performance tune reports and dashboards
Pull data sources from different enterprise platforms.
Aggregate and standardized datasets for dashboard presentment.
Work with cross-functional development teams.
Our requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Strong knowledge and experience developing dashboards in MS Power BI tool
Strong knowledge and experience with MS SQL
Experience in requirement analysis, design, and prototyping
Recommended additional skills: MS SSRS, Snowflake, Python, Tableau, Jupyter, Cognos, Machine Learning, Salesforce, Service Max, SAP
Strong organizational skills required
Team oriented with an ability to also work independently, with minimal guidance
Strong attention to detail
Must be self-motivated
Professional written and oral communication skills
