Your responsibilities

  • Provide strong financial management (including costs, forecast, FTE and position management) and the associated reporting

  • Provide robust headcount management including clear view of FTE movements in and out of Finance

  • Prepare the consolidated FTE and financial position for global finance

  • Construct and support delivery against FRP including review and challenge

  • Manage consultancy costs tracking and approvals

  • Support cost query management including transaction listing, professional fees and general ledger analysis

  • Support headcount approval administration including system management and governance

  • Execute approvals / draw down in Anaplan and Appian

  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data in HR systems and Anaplan / Appian

  • Continuously review Anaplan to identify risks/opportunities e.g. offshoring

  • Prepare ad hoc requests for templates/data on costs / FTE for Finance

  • Document the current processes and activities performed by the team and identify common tasks that can be aligned, standardised, streamlined and automated (where possible)

  • Identify/create automated solutions (i.e. leveraging existing technology platforms) to solve problems identified and to ensure standardised approach and reporting

  • Support a consistent and effective approach to business management across the Finance COO team

  • Ensure the identification and implementation of best practice across the teams to ensure the highest operational standards

  • Collaborate with Global Finance Function CFO team and help ensure one golden source of data, one version of the truth, one set of assumptions and one centralised model

  • Ensure development of revised process documentation to embed processes into the Finance CoE

  • Drive positive change in processes, procedures, services etc. to deliver on financial, people or efficiency goals

Our requirements

  • Finance/ accounting experiance

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to execute at pace

  • Proven financial management ability

  • ¬An understanding of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting of actual costs versus forecast/budget is preferred

  • Strong oral communication skills (particularly English)

  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location

  • Effective team player with good inter-personal skills, influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure that information is captured in a timely manner

  • Ability to lead & drive change independently

  • Delivery focused with attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality

  • Willingness to own work and problems and see through to completion and to use own initiative to resolve issues, whilst dealing with a diverse range of stakeholders

  • Understanding and interest in how new technology may be leveraged to standardise and automate existing processes

  • Candidates having prior experience in implementation of MI dashboards or analytics, developing Business Intelligence tools such as Qlikview, Qliksense, Tableau, Power BI or similar preferred

  • Prior experience / completion of courses or training related to Python or VBA would also be beneficial

About the role

This role is to support the creation of the Global Finance Centre of Excellence (CoE) a central capability that oversees the execution and delivery of key business management accountabilities including robust financial and headcount management for Global Finance. Leveraging tools, technology and processes to provide a consistent, centralised view, driving collaboration, adapting best practice to support the finance function to operate in a cost effective manner. The CoE is required to create capacity within the teams to focus on finance transformation and the people agenda. The Business Manager provides dedicated, forward thinking, operational and business management support.
