About the team

As a Professional Business Analyst, you will join a talented and experienced payment team. You will participate in the functional specification of the FIS payment processing platform that enables financial institutions with acquiring, monitoring, netting and clearing functions for their payments systems

Your responsibilities

  • Translate the customer/product management requirements into functional and non-functional specifications. Guide and assist customers and project teams to adhere to product standards in order to reduce the TCO of the solution

  • Participate in and facilitate customer/product requirements meetings and work together with the customer/Product department towards the most optimal functional solution

  • Deliver impact assessments and time estimations

  • Assist the systems analysts and engineering team in the functional implementation by providing clear and unambiguous specifications to enable them to produce quality software that meets defined product requirements. Participate in the review of designs produced by systems analysts and engineers

  • Develop and manage use case models and supporting specifications, and contribute to and review domain object models

  • Participate in UI designs and review

  • Provide clarifications and support to the Test team during test scenario derivation and testing processes

  • Deliver functional presentations and training to the customer and colleagues

  • Support project teams for configuration of the solution

  • Analyze and answer questions from customer/project teams on future and implemented product features

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Economics, Banking or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

  • Proven experience in functional/business analysis and design in the domain of business process modeling

  • Proven experience in payments is a plus (preferably between 3-5 years in particular in SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments)

  • UML knowledge and working knowledge of BPMN is a plus

  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodology is a plus

  • Basic SQL knowledge

  • Good social contacts, team player

  • A pro-active ‘can-do’ attitude

  • Good attention to detail

  • Self-disciplined and motivated

  • Ability to prioritize and self-manage time and tasks

  • Ability to think analytically, see cause-and-effect relationship

  • Very good written and spoken English
