ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll be a pivotal part of our Trading Team who are responsible for making purchasing and ranging decisions across our wide range of categories. In this role you'll be supporting the Buyer with a variety of tasks including supplier meetings. This role will be reporting in to the Buyer and will be responsible for assisting them in driving performance to grow the category.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
You’ll be taking ownership of category process acting as gatekeeper, managing cross functional internal and external stakeholders to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner. You’ll be responsible for preparing reports on a regular basis to support with financial decision making e.g. for supplier review meeting and buying trips. You'll undertake varied tasks from managing samples, project work to even the opportunity to attending supplier meetings. You'll make sure Buyers have everything they need in preparation to meet with our Suppliers!

You’ll be enthusiastic and excited about developing a career in Buying. You’ll need to have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multitask. You’ll be using Excel on a daily basis, so it goes without saying you’ll need to be an Excel Whizz. You’ll have English at Grade B2 or above. Ideally you will currently be working in a similar role with experience of working in a Buying Environment / Retail business.
