Your responsibilities

Coding & Tracking Manufacturing Process Owners are globally responsible for any market supply critical Coding & Tracking processes. In this role, they are leading the design, planning and execution of any C&T Manufacturing development and continuous improvement, ensuring the compliance of Imperial Brands with any Coding & Tracking Regulation whilst maximizing business benefits.

Main objective of Coding & Tracking Manufacturing Process Owners is to drive standardization of C&T Manufacturing processes and to ensure their sustainability through proper governance, change management and documentation between related process stakeholders. In this context, Coding & Tracking Manufacturing Process Owners are also responsible for delivering related processes and solutions in time, on budget and in line with set business objectives.

Key accountabilities

• Drive standard Coding & Tracking Manufacturing process definition, documentation and maintenance

• Drive changes of Coding & Tracking Manufacturing processes into the organisation

• Change control of Coding & Tracking Manufacturing processes by driving knowledge transfers and process acceptance into local organizations

• Impose compliant Coding & Tracking Manufacturing processes to Business Key-Users

• Identify and define Coding & Tracking Manufacturing processes according to published legislations

• Act as 3rd Level Support along process and solution lifecycles

• Assess Business Process and Solution Change Requests, presenting them in front of the Coding & Tracking Change Advisory Board (CAB)

• Support Coding & Tracking Implementation Projects with process and solution expertise

• Act as Coding & Tracking Manufacturing Process Owner for all Coding & Tracking Projects with solution development components that are impacted or influenced by Coding & Tracking processes

• Manage suppliers in respective process or solution area by defining and prioritizing Business Requirements

• Overall Manufacturing Process Owner

• Product Aggregation Process Owner

• Pack Coding Process Owner

• Repacking Process Owner

• Code Ordering Process Owner

• Anti-Tampering Process Owner

• Tier 2 (Manual) Process Owner

• OTP Process Owner

• Represent Imperial Brands in front of any cross-industry Coding & Tracking working groups (e.g. on DCTA and IWG level)

• Explore, align and harmonize any cross-industry Coding & Tracking Solution or Innovation with the ways of working at Imperial Brands

• Identify areas of Coding & Tracking process improvements and facilitate implementation of corrective measures, following Imperial Brands Lean Programme and its principles

• Align Imperial Brands Coding & Tracking processes to follow open industry standards (e.g. GS1 Standards)

• Drive developments and continuous improvements of Coding & Tracking Manufacturing processes and solutions by acting as a dedicated Project Manager or Project Workstream-Lead, following Imperial Brands Project Management Practices (PMP)

• Monitor and control agreed timelines, costs and scope for agreed developments and continuous improvements

• Identify, resolve or escalate risks or issues with dedicated Business Stakeholders

• Ensure created documents are complete, current and appropriately stored according to Imperial Brand Project Portfolio Practices

• Ensure related Coding & Tracking Manufacturing developments and continuous improvements comply with published legislations

• Interface with impacted Business Stakeholders to regularly report on progress of Coding & Tracking Manufacturing developments or continuous improvements

Our requirements

  • Educated to degree level, ideally with experiences in Production Technology, Engineering, Economics or equivalent

  • Excellent strategic and tactical planning skills

  • Great experience in project management skills, methods and techniques (planning, scheduling, project control procedures, etc.)

  • Can operate effectively in collaborative and directive business environment and able to develop broad, cooperative relationships with a set of diverse stakeholders

  • Self-motivated, independent and proactive

  • Assertiveness and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams up to senior management without formal authority

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • At least 5 years of experience within tobacco/ FMCG industry

  • Sound knowledge of coding solutions and related areas

  • Confidence operating in matrix-style organisations combining direct and functional reporting

  • Ability to work in a team, based on strong awareness of intercultural relationships

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Language skills: English, additional language necessary
