Your responsibilities

  • Managing people resources within Capability team to meet current and future resource needs

  • Analyse current and future job needs and identify skills gaps in consultation with key stakeholders and design/source appropriate training solutions. Defining and gaining agreement on roles, objectives and principles for effective relationships

  • Continually reviewing and considering improvements to all elements of the team’s operations

  • Sets the direction and leads the introduction and use of techniques, methods and tools to match overall business requirements; ensuring consistency of adoption and adherence to policies and standards across all capability team memebers; leads the development of related organisational capabilities including policies, standards and guidelines

  • Manging and maintaining relationships with stakeholders

  • Monitoring individual and team performance and providing feedback to staff on team and individual level

  • Fostering an open, collaborative environment that encourages operational excellence, quality, innovation, ongoing learning, and knowledge sharing

  • Proactively manage and contribute to competence management strategy and business planning by providing best practice advice and outlining continuous improvement opportunities, ensuring consistent delivery of competence projects

  • Managing expenditure and resources in line with approved delegations, guidelines, budget, deadlines, and reporting requirements, with a focus on cost effectiveness

  • Actively maintain a recognised expert level of specialised knowledge including providing expert advice, overseeing the provision of specialist advice by others and contributing to the development and sharing of specialist knowledge to further organisational objectives

  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of the strategy for the business domain including developing and communicating plans, collating and providing information and insights

  • Supporting Capability Lead Manager in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and increase safety

  • Assisting other departments with recruitment, selection, training, and performance management activities

  • Coordinating team leadership team within Capability Team

Our requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience as Capability Specialist/Lead, Delivery Manager, Project Manager, Service Manager or similar positions in the IT industry

  • Experience and knowledge of IT project management

  • Knowledge of good IT service delivery practices (ITIL) and a working knowledge of agile methodologies (Agile)

  • Ability to manage a team

  • Ability to build business relationships

  • Good organisation of work, analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of English (min. B2)

  • University degree
