Your responsibilities

  • Development, launch and maintenance of Capital Markets products for Wealth & Private Bank working closely with the Global Capital Markets Product Specialists, Global Functions and Local offices to ensure appropriate product approvals achieved through the applicable Global and/or Local Governance Committees

  • Ownership and management of elements of Business projects covering WPBs Capital Markets products, acting as a conduit Business SME

  • Assisting with the design and implementation of new Target Operating and Business Operating Models to support the GPB Capital Markets Product Business

  • Managing 3rd Party Service providers

  • Continual streamlining, refinement, improvement, development and implementation of processes associated with the Capital Markets product offering

  • Working closely with GPB Global Functions to ensure that the GPB Capital Markets product offering remains compliant with Global HSBC policies and Local Regulatory requirements

  • Assisting with the effective delivery of the GPB Capital Markets product governance and oversight framework including the timely collation and production of associated governance packs/papers, KPIs, status reports and business performance metrics.

  • Collating, analysing and timely production of relevant performance data and Investment Risk data in management dashboard format, co-ordinating collection of data from all GPB offices

  • Attending relevant GPB governance Committees including the Global and Local Product Committees, IWS Business Control Committee, as required

Our requirements

  • University bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Investment Management or Mathematics

  • A good understanding of investment products including Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities and Structured Products

  • Good understanding of product management lifecycle

  • Proven experience in an environment that demands organisational agility and getting results through effective management of processes and exemplary attention to detail; possess capacity to define problems, analyse causes, assess options and find effective solutions; ability to relate to people at all levels both internally and externally

  • Self-motivated, driven and delivery focused, with a good understanding of project management disciplines and techniques

  • Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently

  • Effective presentation, interpersonal, negotiation, communication and analytical skills

  • Strong IT skills (Excel, PPT, Word) is a must

Optional

  • Experience in process automations through VBA/Python/R scripts would be beneficial

  • Certificate in Investment Management and/or other recognised professional banking/investment qualifications (e.g. CFA, CAIA etc.) would be beneficial

Job Description

  • The purpose of this role is to work with Investment and Wealth Solutions Product Development Senior Manager for Capital Markets and the Global Product Specialists in the management and development of the capital market product propositions throughout the entire Product Lifecycle

  • This role encompasses, but is not limited to tasks such as Product Development; Product Approval; Product Launch; Product Review; Strategic Business Projects; Risk Management and Control; Operating Model and process design; Vendor Governance; and management of relevant Internal Product Governance Committees.

  • The role holder will be expected to communicate effectively in English with a wide range of stakeholders across the Wealth & GPB business both locally and globally and should be confident in dealing with senior stakeholders

  • The role holder will be expected to contribute multiple work streams simultaneously and should be able to multitask accordingly and be flexible in work approach

  • Delivery of outstanding performance to ensure the team’s delivery of its objectives and adherence to internal / regulatory procedures and controls

  • Providing a highly professional, competent and skilled service to the team
