Your responsibilities
Create, build and implement a Cash Collections process and team within a global Professional Services firm to assist clients with timely payment of invoices within agreed credit terms, cross-training existing Billing Administrators to assist with Cash Collections process.
Working with Accounts Receivable data from the global ERP system, automate the regular issuance of Account Statements to clients, and lead a team following up with client contacts to ensure timely payment.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with key client contacts (including senior Professional Services contract owners at client organisations as well as their Accounts Payable departments) to facilitate approval of invoices, query management and regular processing of invoices.
Across the entire Accounts Receivable portfolio, lead a team liaising with key contract owners within the Business to escalate queried invoices to reach a resolution.
Liaise with Treasury / Finance teams to understand cash collection targets, and the role the Cash Collections team plays in achieving these targets.
Train and supervise junior staff on a day to day basis, whilst overseeing their personal and technical development.
Complying with all relevant internal rules, policy and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and client-specific processes where necessary.
Implementing Continuous Improvement actions or processes to improve efficiency in line with the agreed plan and without unnecessary impact to service levels
Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job
Take part in global improvement projects, take initiative to improve processes and assist with other accounting projects
Our requirements
Min 8 years of experience of working in AR team in global firm
Min 4 years of managerial experience in AR
Experience with S/4 Hana will be a plus
A commitment to delivering great client service with a focus on clear and timely communication
Languages: English at least C1 level in speaking and writing; German and French will be a plus
Strong time-management skills including proven ability to work independently and ability to proactively manage stakeholders to ensure delivery of results to agreed service levels
Working within a Professional Services firm environment, ability to liaise with senior Business leaders and Client Relationship owners (Partners/Directors) as appropriate to escalate queried debts for them to resolve.
Very good analytical and data skills with the highest attention to detail
