EDC Aviation – GE design office – concentrates its efforts on delivering reliable and competitive product such as jet engines, helicopter engines, marine engines, as well as stationary engines.
EDC is a design center – we work on new ideas which are later on implemented into engine. When the design has been approved we overview introduction to manufacturing and take responsibility for the quality of the parts made by different vendors all over the world. Moreover, we take care of test planning and oversee when the engine is already running during the test. Our final responsibilities include monitoring the engine fleet behavior to deliver a reliable product for the global economy.
For nearly 20 years, our engineers dedicated their time and skills to develop family of world class jet engines.
Catalyst High Pressure Turbine (HPT) team is seeking a candidate for a position of Design Engineer - Hardware Owner -  to support design, testing, certification and manufacturing of HPT structural parts. 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test and manufacturing support required to define and produce HPT structural components that meet business standards and program / product requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Be accountable for task execution.
  • Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business.
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue.
Required Qualifications
  • EU Work Permit
  • BSc/MSc in Engineering with experience in mechanical design or testing or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and changing requirements.

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Working knowledge of NX and Ansys, or similar modeling and simulation software
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
