Category Development Specialist - Hygiene


  • Act as a consultant for Customers, Sales department and Trade Marketing on listing priorities and vision planograms
  • End to end responsibility for category management process with key customers
  • Planning and coordination of customer workshops in close cooperation with Sales and Trade Marketing teams
  • Co-creation of Listing Priorities at customer level in cooperation with Sales and Trade Marketing
  • In deep analyses of assortment on customer level
  • Co-creation of category growth strategy
  • Brand / Category portfolio optimization
  • Customer / Channel Must Stock List creation
  • Category Development input to Local Success Model
  • Shelf and 2nd expo planogram building
  • Creation and deployment of merchandising standards to merchandisers and field representatives
  • Reporting & presenting conclusions on category development related areas (e.g. listing & NPD tracking, current shelf layouts)
  • Active participation during external audits and self-inspections in the scope of the assigned responsibility
  • Complete all assigned trainings related to QMS on continuous bases as a part of personal development


  • Min 1-2 years of professional experience primarily in Trade Marketing and/or Category Management 
  • Experience in Sales will be perceived as an asset
  • Must possess strong bias for action, ability to break down barriers and facilitate cross functional collaboration
  • Leadership skills in influencing customers as well as internal stakeholders to drive recommendations
  • Ability to comprehensively understand and convert consumer, category and channel/customer insights into actionable recommendations
  • Passion for building and maintaining relationships
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Analytical skills and data acumen
  • Advanced in Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. as well as Nielsen and Dunhumby
  • Spaceman or other planogram app experience as an asset
  • Advanced English
