Be responsible for all international road transportation services for Europe (partially MEA) for finished goods and associated sales
Lead the development, management, and implementation of comprehensive sourcing strategies in alignment with Haleon BUs and Procurement to deliver agreed savings targets and other benefits that significantly impact Haleon financial results - EMEA international transportation spend of c.a. £30 million annually (Road, Short Sea, Intermodal)
Lead complex negotiations and tender process through e-sourcing and e-auction tools and develop contractual agreements with global and regional Logistics Service Providers
Engage and influence stakeholders across the E2E supply chains and in country teams - working collaboratively across all Supply Chain’s and commercial teams to support the strategy deployment and savings delivery, ensuring business alignment for excellent execution
Active involvement in development and deployment of the Supply Chain strategies
Leading Continuous Improvement and Savings Programmes: Understanding the needs of our business partners, patients and bringing opportunities from the supply base while creating buy-in and developing a culture of taking calculated risks to maximise opportunities and benefits
Implement initiatives and programs to improve quality of bought-in goods and services and increase service levels for the regional supply chains.
Lead the development of strategic relationships with critical suppliers in order to identify and develop innovation
Minimum level of education required – Bachelor degree in Procurement, Engineering, Business, Finance
Considerable specialist knowledge and practical experience and viewed as subject matter expert in managing Logistics category in a regional/global sourcing context
Highly developed commercial acumen with demonstrated success in delivering a competitive commercial advantage. Successful multi-year track record in delivering year on year savings in a challenging economic climate
Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at management level. Understanding business value, business priorities, and implementation risks
Skilled negotiator adept at managing complex negotiations at management level with both external and internal stakeholders
In depth understanding of external environment & supplier relationship models
Exceptional communication and influencing skills across internal Haleon teams and external suppliers globally
Experience managing the delivery of large projects (project and change management experience with strong leadership) and with end-to-end service / operations management
Strong analytical, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills
Preferred Level of Education Master’s degree or MBA
High energy, enthusiastic and results driven with strong business acumen
Distinctive people leadership/management skills, both downward and upward
Resilient and persistent with the ability to make the right decisions
Develop and present persuasive arguments to deliver change and influence stakeholders
Creative, conceptual thinker, exceptional problem solving/analytical skills
Possess strong interpersonal skills
