- Lead and direct the selected sourcing categories within KAS sourcing. Target is to lead according to technology roadmap and production footprint objectives, strategy and business needs and best market practice.
- Lead the category development and implementation of policies, processes, and compliance activities to ensure that all organizational objectives in relation to quality, accuracy of delivery, costs and innovation are met.
- Manage reporting, pricing, agreements and negotiations in selected category area
- Control sourcing of new suppliers and vendor management development in selected categories.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making to develop and implement sourcing strategies that are aligned with the business objectives, and translate these into annual plans to contribute to profit & loss.
- Contributing to the harmonisation and synergies in KAS
- Sourcing and Kalmar sourcing categories when applicable globally (in different regions) and being part of Kalmar global sourcing activities
- Searching, selecting and developing competitive suppliers
- Manage cost development projects in factory production and supplier network
- Create and develop positive attitude and atmosphere in business and cooperation with respective functions (specially engineering / R&D).
- Support operational purchases and quality work
Education:
B.Sc. Mechanical Engineer or equal commercial B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equal suitable education.
Experience:
At least 5 years of relevant business / product / sourcing / project experience. Experience of global supply chains with a background of production, sourcing, logistics and demand & supply planning activities.
Competencies:
Languages (English) and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of different business needs, suitable technical or commercial background
Team player and can handle pressure.
The position requires travelling due to global partners and suppliers.
