Your responsibilities
Sourcing: Support Category Manager in strategic category initiatives, obtaining Business buy-in and ensuring successful execution, including running RFPs/ RFQs / e Auctions
Contract management: Reviewing and driving contracts to completion – in partnership with the Category Manager, Suppliers and the internal ABB business/Legal
Stakeholder management: Understanding business priorities and challenges, building partnerships across geographically dispersed stakeholders and engaging with local procurement. Also being able to manage demanding stakeholders and act with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Reporting: getting reports from the vendors, analyzing the data to transfer it into the category overview. Report savings, cost avoidance in SFDB. Working jointly with Analyst Team to prepare automatized reporting solutions
Supplier management: Approaching the suppliers to develop cost reduction initiatives, conducting regular business reviews, working closely with suppliers on daily topics according the demand from the Business and Category Manager
Proactively driving/supporting demand management to reduce the overall external spend with vendors and create a true EBITDA impact
Our requirements
University degree, with business or engineering degree preferable
2+ years of sourcing and/or category management experience or equivalent extensive experience working in the categories for which the role is intended to support
Ability to multitask and proactively identifying and solving the issues
Good communication and project management skills
Good negotiation skills and ability to manage difficult stakeholders
Strong result-orientation
Experience in contract management is the asset
SAP Ariba including eAuctioning, PowerBI, Microsoft Excel and PPT
Business level fluency in English

As the Category Specialist for IT Services you are responsible for supporting the development of the Category Strategies and executing a pipeline sourcing initiatives and related negotiations in EMEA region. Based on your deep subject matter expertise in the area of IT Hardware, Software and IT Services you engage and partner with senior Business stakeholders and Business Procurement/Finance, to deliver the overall Category performance and savings targets.
The objective of this position is to leverage the purchasing power of ABB on a regional level and to achieve the set of performance targets together with Category Manager and in line with the business requirements.
