Your responsibilities

Implementation of the transport strategy based on current and future internal requirements as well as supplier and competitor analysis. Manage contracts and supplier relationships over the long term. Responsible for purchasing performance. Scope: Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania).

Product group strategy, including:

● Implementation of the 3-year EP transport strategy (portfolio consolidation to long-term transport partners) in Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey for PG/bulk to realize group strategies: Safety, Clean Fleet, Efficiencies within Value Co-Creation agreements

● Analyze market analysis and TCO drivers

Purchasing activities, including e.g.:

● Analyzing needs with operational stakeholders and discussing them with the requesters

● Identify possible partners and compile a selection for requesters and present in alignment with the EP consolidation transport strategy before signing the contract with partners in sourcing committees at operational/ EP/ cluster

● Conduct RFx, analyze offers based on TCO, finalize shortlist

● Prepare, conduct and conclude negotiations

● Define measures and figures to check correct implementation and check accordingly

Supplier relationship management in accordance with the correspondingly defined European specifications/framework, including:

● Supplier Rating

● Supplier Qualification

● Stakeholder management, including e.g.:

● Summary of feedback from internal customers regarding e.g. our suppliers and commodity group strategy

● Conduct workshops to identify TCO reduction opportunities

Continuous improvement:

● Identify and analyze potential savings associated with C-IMP projects

Our requirements

  • Completed bachelor's degree with a business / procurement focus

  • Several years of professional experience in the area of product management or purchasing (ideally at AL)

  • User knowledge of MS Office, Google Tools and SAP R/3

  • Very good knowledge of English

  • Very good understanding of the gas activities, strategic planning and procurement

  • Functional and value analysis, (re)design according to cost techniques

  • Supplier relationship management including financial analysis

  • Cost and risk management, negotiation, contract management

  • Result-oriented and very organized way of working

  • High proactivity and good adaptability
