Your responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting insightful analysis on the non-financial risk profile and preparing reports and governance papers on the findings that are concise, precise, impactful and actionable, and delivered to a quality standard on time.

  • Oversee Basel 3 loss data remediation exercises for non-financial risk.

  • Coordinate and oversight Global Operational and Resilience Risk (ORR) regulatory reporting.

  • Close working relationship with the ORR Leadership team and senior stakeholders.

  • Work in close liaison with the ORR Reporting & Analysis specialists to ensure consistency in approach and promote efficiency via shared working practices and identify improvements for implementation.

  • Partner with other Risk oversight functions to ensure a holistic view of the risk profile.

Our requirements

  • Experience in senior roles in risk functions in significant global organizations, preferably in a Non-Financial Risk area.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in order to build relationships and influence key senior stakeholders.

  • Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and planning skills.

  • Experience in dealing with complex matters by adopting a pragmatic approach, identifying core requirements from and translating them into simplified activities that address the problem.

Additional information

Global Operational and Resilience Risk (ORR) is a sub function of Group Risk. Its purpose is to make sure HSBC understands, and is in control of its non-financial risk position. The role will support the Operational & Resilience Risk (ORR) team in developing the reporting & analysis infrastructure for Senior Stakeholders across HSBC. They will be responsible for writing a number of key reports with insightful commentary on the ORR Risk Profile for Senior Committees across the bank. The role holder will be required to liaise regularly with Senior Stakeholders and provide information to members of the ORR leadership team. They should be a strong communicator and have the ability to articulate detailed information to a Senior audience in an understandable and credible manner.
