Your responsibilities

  • Ensure the delivery of project quality activities for purchased parts identified as critical. The activity goes from the early development phases of new products (knowledge of new parts to be integrated in Suppliers Parts List) until their FAI Go status and Handover to SQ Serial
  • Ensure SPQD engineer active participation to development gates review for purchased parts (Request For Quotation, Business Award, Order, Detail Design & Design Freeze) including the relevant documentation preparation
  • Ensure that his/her team animates in project execution the pre-Business Award phase: prepare the quality specifications and validate the quality plan with suppliers
  • Ensure that his/her team properly manages risk identification during supplier selection phase by applying Supplier Quality Status (SQS) process till the Business Award in coordination with Procurement and validates the relevant waivers if needed
  • Ensure the action plan to mitigate to related risks and the associated costs are budgeted in Business Awards
  • Ensure the action defined for risk mitigation are effectively implemented and followed-up
  • Control the application of the DFQ process for purchased parts and make each milestone validated by his/her team
  • Set-up relevant actions plan all along the product / process development to reach supplier validation on time
  • Drive - Manage teams and/or suppliers to meet FAI Go on Time and project executions needs

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering or equivalent
  • Familiar with supplier qualifications standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.)
  • Must be able to read supplier contracts
  • Competency to use computer applications and prepare KPIs and presentations
  • Management experience in Supplier Quality environment
  • Railway experience is a plus
  • Experience in managing supplier relationships
  • Experience using SAP or other ERP class systems
  • Quality professional background with knowledge of quality tools (PFMEA, control plan, QRQC, 8D, Quality Wall, etc.)
  • Ability to collect and analyze workload to submit budget inputs
  • Fluent in English is a must

Optional

  • Leadership, able to communicate with business partners
  • Knowledge of signaling products, systems and infrastructure application
  • Willingness to learn
  • Technical knowledge of the bare PCB manufacturing would be an asset
  • Experience in Quality / audit are valued

As the CEE SPQD Domain Manager for D&IS division (m/f) you will be responsible for definition of the assessment needs in relation to qualification and product development for assigned commodity group, allowing flawless business execution and company adherence to Alstom’s target operational model for Supplier Product Development.

You will be main interface towards D&IS applications within CEE Cluster and closely working with site’s Procurement and Supplier Quality Serial Life organizations to set the assessment priorities and define validation/acceptance criteria.

Ideal candidate is willing to extend his practical knowledge, fluent in English as a must and ready to send over 50% of work time on business travels. This is a newly created, independent position without existing team of direct reports.
