Chief Accountant

Your responsibilities

• Keeps the accounting records for PEPCO Poland in accordance with the Group accounting principles and local accounting and fiscal legislation;

• Prepares and updates internal accounting policies and procedures, in accordance with the Group accounting principles and local accounting and fiscal legislation;;

• Oversees fiscal reporting process in order to ensure correct settlement with the state budget (prepares VAT, CIT returns and control statements, oversees the preparation of INTRASTAT declaration, etc. );

• Oversees preparation of various reports requested by public and finance institutions;

• Prepares the full set of annual financial statements in accordance with the local accounting legislation;

• Oversees the work of subordinate employees in terms of accounting and reporting in order to ensure proper accounting bookkeeping;

• Cooperates with companies and external institutions as regards to audits (eg. auditing and consulting firms) and inspections (NBP, US, the Customs ets.).

• Provides professional advice and instructions to different departments in terms of accounting treatment for specific transactions and activities;

• Participates in various IT and other projects focused on digitalization of accounting process. Overall manages the efficiency of accounting team and implements various solutions, focused on the process improvement;
