Your responsibilities
- Work with the Board on developing the strategic business plan and long-term financial planning for the whole organization
- Build, manage and support strong international team in finance, accounting, legal and tax teams in Poland, Germany, Sweden, the United States
- Setup and monitor day-to-day financial operations, oversee income, cash flow, and expenses within the whole group
- Optimize Gross Margin. Execute cost control and cost allocation.
- Create and develop internal processes regarding financial operations, reporting and controlling.
- Optimize cash conversion cycle
- Oversee implementation of ERP system and other financial/finance related software
- Drive country and consolidated budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Design and facilitate the quarterly and annual planning and ongoing forecasting process
- Establish and maintain effective balance sheet reconciliation, income statement and cash flow reporting and month-end close processes to provide timely and accurate reporting to management.
- Maintain and develop appropriate financial and risk management systems, processes and controls, ensuring excellent financial management and compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements
- Provide robust financial management information and financial analysis to the senior management team including monthly management accounts
- Participate in company-wide strategic and operational reviews on a monthly basis.
- Actively participate in fundraising from VCs, private equity with a possibility of IPO within 4 years, manage investor relations. Make the Company IPO/Due Dillugence ready.
- Manage credit and FX exposure
- Develop the financial, equity and debt strategy in line with a business need
- Actively participate and create new financial products and services for the company’s customers
- Gather and articulate market-ready insights e.g. valuation, multiples, competitive positioning etc in commercially actionable terms to senior management and Sales functions
- Support M&A opportunities for the Group. Oversee end-to-end transaction execution and subsequent monitoring
- Oversee the treasury function of the organization
- The successful candidate will have a proven track record of participating in building up a high growth company. On top of the fundamental financial qualifications of a CFO, you will have a skill set within building strong international teams, maintaining a strong company culture even in rapid headcount growth, creating successful go-to-market financial strategies, raising capital and negotiating with VCs. You have been part of scaling a high growth company while optimizing the operations at the same time. You will also have experience in hardware, manufacturing, roofing or energy sectors.
Our requirements
- CFO will be based in Warsaw
- 10-15 years of experience at CFO function with relevant industry experience in Finance, Audit, Advisory or Transactions and M&A
- Construction Industry, Manufacturing, Hardware, Roofing, Energy business background a plus
- Master degree in Finance, CPA or MBA preferred but not required
- Experience of fund-raising with VC, private equity and/or IPO, including bond issue
- Fluency in English. Other languages like German, Swedish or Polish would be an asset
- Strong finance-based analytical skills, well-structured and organized approach
- Experience in managing an international company with subsidiaries especially in Sweden Germany Poland and/or the US. Team Player
