Our client is a well-known company with a strong presence in the Polish market. To further strengthen their group, we are actively seeking a talented professional for the position of Chief Financial Officer. We are looking for someone with a strong business and investment mindset, as well as the drive to support the company in solidifying its already impressive market position and facilitating its continued growth. This role will be an integral part of the Management Board, encompassing all financial and strategic aspects of the company. The Chief Financial Officer will work closely with the CEO and other senior executives, including the holding owners. The person in the CFO position will be dedicated to the sustainable pursuit of becoming one of the industry's largest companies and maintaining my Partner's status as a market leader. This role is pivotal to the company's ongoing success.
Your responsibilities
Act as a business partner and provide quality financial leadership and analytical support to senior management
Take ownership in key decisions as a member of the Executive Team and lead the strategy planning within the finance area and beyond
Participate in developing various customer-experience strategies
Focus on productivity, quality, growth, and margin
Monitor, report and challenge the financial performance of the different activities in all product categories
Support the further fast-paced growth of the company in terms of market-share and size in Poland
Review current reporting and BI processes in the organization, define priorities and prepare a road map for their implementation
Responsible for design and delivering high quality data & analytical insights and recommendations for the Business
Plan, direct and monitor all key processes within the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, risk and management reporting activities
Ensure the organization understands and owns strategic plans, budgets, forecasts and is committed to delivering promised results
Act as counsel to the business beyond the financial aspects
Lead, nurture, and develop a large team of finance and non-finance professionals
Employer requirements
Educated to university degree level, certifications (ACCA, CIMA, etc) will be an asset
A qualified professional with an experience in business finance on a similar role preferably in Retail / e-commerce company
Experience in driving change management, risk management, M&A is highly desirable
Relevant experience in developing omnichannel areas
Experience as Finance Director in a company with a high-growth track-record, preferably companies with a focus on data warehouse, BI, master data management
Information management skills including business analysis, data modelling, designing insightful recommendations, strong working knowledge of data warehousing
Strong numeracy and analytical skills, proficient in data analysis from a commercial and strategic delivery perspective
Strong commercial awareness, entrepreneurial skills
Deep understanding of all P&L and Balance sheet components
Pro-active hands-on, solution driven mentality, with attention to detail
Strong strategic thinking combined with excellent analytical skills
Ability to provide clear leadership and motivate people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in Polish and very good command in English is a must
