Your responsibilities

  • Consults and advises member business leadership on security decisions across the region

  • Advises on potential information security threats

  • Leads information security incident response and Cyber crisis management within the region

  • Manages local security staff and resources in support of multiple business units

  • Manages alignment of local and regional security requirements

  • Participates on all regional change control processes and resource allocations for security projects

  • Leads regional integration of Network Information Security architecture (requirements, design, testing, deployment)

  • Works with local and regional legal or regulatory teams to manage regulatory compliance requirements

  • Provides oversight and services management of regional security services

  • Enforces Network Information Security risk transparency and risk acceptance processes

  • Facilitates Information Security Policy audits by collecting, reviewing and providing evidence

  • Drives the delivery of local security capabilities or services not provided by global security shared services

  • Support compliance improvements - furnish information relevant for audit activities, receive and direct compliance issues to appropriate resources for investigation & resolution.

  • Define local-level KPIs and collect and report necessary metrics to CISO and Executive management.

  • Communicate identified threat information to Global CISO.

  • Support implementation and execution of the security control framework including but not limited to PCI DSS, CIS Security Controls, NIST800-53.

  • Direct oversight for Security Architecture, including security transformation function for networks and applications.

  • Actively participates on XMatters and incident response calls for the Americas.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science or Applied Computing.

  • Minimum 15 – 20 years of experience Information Systems and/or Technology Service Delivery Services with the last 5 in supervisory roles in Information Security or Risk Management services. Master’s degree Information Security or Information Security Assurance is a plus.

  • One of more active certifications in Enterprise Information Security such as ISC2-CISSP, ECCoucil-CCISO, SABSA-SCM are preferred.

  • Proven understanding and delivery of enterprise wide programs with multi-disciplinary deliverables and goals.

  • Hands on technical knowledge of firewalls, application layer firewalls, database firewalls, routers switches, IDS/IPS, log and event monitoring TCP/IP and other protocols.

  • Strong understanding of proxies, content filtering, AV solutions, vulnerability management, and patching.

  • Hands on experience with Security Information Event Management Systems (SIEM), Database Activity Monitoring Systems (DAM), Data Leakage Prevention Systems (DLP), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), encryption appliances and applications.

  • Excellent professional oral, written and presentation skills.

  • Strong collaborative and influencing skills.

  • Ability to present ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly language.

  • Effective team building/coaching skills with ability to influence and motivate.

  • Development experience of security policies and standards in virtual, bare-metal and cloud environments required.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in dynamic and high-pressure environments.

  • Excellent judgment and leadership skills.

  • Ability to investigate and document findings.

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, large, complex projects from inception through completion.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Familiarity with risk mitigation and incident response and handling.

  • Ability to take a steadfast approach to consistent challenges and sensitivity to change management.

  • Act as an advisor and consultant to all employees on the established enterprise’s information security, regulations, and other relevant matters.
