Your responsibilities
Overall responsibility for the defined scope of works with regard to safe execution, ensuring quality requirements, timely completion and cost-efficient execution
Act in the substitute of the Civil Site Manager (Kierownik Budowy) under polish building law regulations and hold the relevant licence (Uprawnienia Kierownika Budowy)
Legal responsibility for the defined scope of works
Form and lead the site civil team alongside the Civil site manager this includes all subcontractors and their works
Ensure compliance with the requirements, regulations and procedures governing occupational environmental health and safety (EHS) and promotes and leads the Zero Harm
Culture for the scope within his responsibility
Be an active driver of an energizing team spirit with the whole site team, including customers and contractors
Represent the interests of the site team to the customer, regulatory authorities and consultants, within the framework of the scope of responsibility the Site management team may delegate
Manage and document deviations (non-conformances) from erection procedures and instructions, specifications, time schedules etc. and directs contract and claim management activities as required for the relevant civil work scope
Evaluates along with the project scheduler and the civil site manager and escalates as necessary issues, that have the potential to impact, scope, budget, and or schedule to the Site Project Manager
Coordinate and control discipline’s corrective measure scenarios, cost evaluated risk mitigation & opportunity schemes
Review of discipline’s concurrent cost accounting, including cost to complete estimation
Regular review of the project time schedule in respect to Civil construction and steel erection activities for the defined scope
Ensure experience and information feedback
Provide site-specific reporting (e.g. daily, weekly reports) for the relevant scope
Ensure correct and timely site progress measurement using standardized tools for the relevant scope along with Contractors and consortium partners
Ensure that all open technical project changes are closed prior the respective milestones
Ensure that as As-Built documentation is maintained and sent back to Engineering for As-Built updates for the relevant scope
Our requirements
Experience in the construction of complex industrial projects (preferable for combined cycle power plant projects) - EPC and/or Consortium Partner (CP) projects
At least 3 years on site experience, in a leading position would be a plus
Knowledge of Construction processes and methodologies
In depth knowledge and competence in EHS policies, practices, regulations, and plans for on- site works for complex construction projects
Proven experience in leading and establishing multinational teams in a quickly changing environment
Ability and willingness to act as the substitute of Civil Site Manager (Kierownik Budowy) under polish building law and its regulations and hold the relevant license (Uprawnienia Kierownika Budowy)
University degree (or equivalent) in a civil engineering discipline
A strong team player with excellent communication skills
Language competencies:
Polish: Advanced – reading and writing
English: Advanced – reading and writing
German: at least communicative A2 to read and understand contract details
French or Spanish would be a plus
