Client Service Team Leader - Real Estate Custody

Custody Direct Supervision;

 

Maintain the documents of real estate holdings and entities. Understanding of Fund structures, transaction financing, and the legal requirements in regard to Real Estate holdings. Client Servicing; fielding and responding timely to all client inquiries/pro-actively anticipate client’s needs. Responding accurately and timely to internal and external audit request in regard to Real Estate transactions.

 

Custody Cash:

Ensure that cash availability is reported accurately and timely. Understanding of Fund structures, transaction financing and AML-KYC requirements for Funds and Investors. Client Servicing; fielding and responding timely to all client inquiries/pro-actively anticipate client’s needs. Responding accurately and timely to internal and external audit request Real Estate Transaction in regard to Real Estate transactions.

 

Custody Fund of Funds:

Booking Fund of Fund commitments and the booking of Capital Calls done within the assigned Funds. Ensure transactions are reported accurately and timely. Monitoring Securities (Listed and Unlisted), Client Servicing; fielding and responding timely to all client inquiries/pro-actively anticipate client’s needs. Responding accurately and timely to internal and external audit requests in regards Real Estate Fund of Fund transactions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

The person filling this position will be responsible for the supervision of small teams of 5 to 7 Custody Representatives in charge of maintaining holdings of the Real Estate Investment Funds in one or more of the sub-teams in the department. The applicant (besides the day to day duties in regard to the department) is responsible for the management of his staff, training, planning and performance assessments processes etc.

  • Improve, develop and implement procedures as needed.

 

Staff Management:

  • Actively manage direct reports by establishing timely and challenging performance standards, providing ongoing feedback and conducting (semi) annual performance appraisals
  • Participate in the career development of staff and act as a positive role model and mentor
  • Actively manage staff performance and progressive discipline process for employees failing to meet expectations

Key Technical / Functional Knowledge, Skills, Experience, & Capabilities Required:

  • University degree or equivalent through experience
  • 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in a Global Custody environment
  • Supervisory experience
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and figures
  • Ability to work accurately while meeting strict deadlines
  • Pro-active, mature and able to work with respect to the deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Team spirit
  • Be able to work within a small team in a fast-moving / changing environment
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; Polish, German and / or French is an asset
