Your responsibilities
- Find out the area where the gaps between our application and the underlying platform,
- Devise automation so the cloud native application can operate successfully in the PaaS environment,
- Coordinate meetings to share the finding and educate teams on the best practice to be a true Cloud Native application,
- Work with vendors to understand their platform strength and weakness,
- Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines including ISMS (ISO27001 program)
Our requirements
- Solid experience as a DevOps engineer, including automation & configuration management
- Knowledge of scripting languages (bash, python, ansible)
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning with Terraform
- Experience with Git based workflows and binary repositories: ( e.g. JFrog Artifactory)
- Good understanding of security standards and practices: TLS, certificates, encryption, IAM
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure, platform and application problems together with R&D teams
Optional
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud service providers: AWS, Azure, RedHat Openshift and GCP in production environment
- Experienced usage of system monitoring/logging/metrics and creation of dashboards
- Knowledge in cost optimization techniques and ways to automate for optimal footprint
- Familiar with agile methodologies: DevSecOps, Kanban, Scrum
- Experience with developing Jenkins pipelines using Maven, Gradle, NPM & Groovy

What you will learn and contribute to
Cloud and Network Services is a leading Nokia business group that offers Network solutions on Core, Business and Enterprise segments, as well as Cloud solutions and Cognitive Services. It is a newly formed business group, that includes most of the former Nokia Software business, Nokia’s enterprise solutions, core network solutions including both voice and packet core, and managed and advanced services from its former Global Services unit. This unit will also act as a delivery channel of certain products from other business groups to enterprise customers. Cloud and Network Services (CNS) will target growth by leveraging the industry transition to cloud-based delivery, network-as-a-service business models, and software-led value creation.
The CNS Technology Labs Team provides and manages shared labs infrastructure (including access public clouds) for Nokia R&D teams. Additionally, Team provides and manages a Central CI platform including Security scanning/testing for all of CNS R&D teams.
In this role, you have the unique opportunity to help shape, improve and create a better Cloud platform. You will help develop numerous cloud native, SaaS application that will be used daily in the telecommunication industry. Since we are the only infrastructure team in CNS, you will work with not one but many public cloud vendors to productize our solutions.
