About the project
The Cloud Architect will be involved in the architecture, deployment and upgrade of infrastructure solutions based on both private and hybrid cloud platforms. A proven understanding of data center virtualization, storage, network, systems and system flow between virtualized environments and non-virtualized environments would make the perfect candidate for the role!
This position entails a wide variety of responsibilities that require deep technical knowledge of enterprise architecture (physical and virtual servers, SAN, Linux/Windows Operating Systems, Networking); and cloud technologies.
Your responsibilities
- Lead Private and Hybrid Cloud product deployments for new and existing customers
- Lead Private and Hybrid Cloud product upgrades for existing customers
- Prepare and update technical implementation documentation
- Advise on implementation of complex and non-standard changes for existing cloud environments
- Propose and implement improvements to solution design and product automation.
- Provide subject matter expertise during integrations of Private and Hybrid Cloud products with other systems.
Our requirements
- Experience with Private Cloud Architecture (VMWare SDDC, incl. vRA 7.x/8.x, vSAN 7.x, vSphere 6.x/7.x)
- Experience with vRealize Suite (ie. Operations Manager, Log Insight)
- Experience with Site Recovery Manager
- Basic understanding of virtualized networking (NSX-V, NSX-T)
- Experience with Ansible automation
- Capability to guide, handle and mentor technical teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at different interpersonal levels
- Creation and maintenance of user documentation to a high professional standard
- Ability to co-ordinate remote and local delivery teams
- Team-player demeanour able to work with both technical and non-technical resources.
Optional
- Experience with VMWare vCloud Foundation
- Experience with DELL hardware
- Knowledge of JIRA toolbox
- Knowledge of ServiceNow toolbox
- Experience in Google, AWS, Azure stack will be considered as an advantage
