Your responsibilities

  • The Commissioning Engineer Mechanical Systems performs the commissioning of mechanical - and process -systems on a Power Plant site (abroad). He is responsible for safe and reliable operation of his assigned systems in compliance with respective specifications.

  • Performing commissioning activities within their assigned systems ensuring safe, reliable operation of equipment and functionality as specified and technically necessary.

  • Coordinating activities affecting other areas or systems with responsible commissioning engineers, erection team, sub-contractors.

  • Visual inspection of equipment/systems for correct and complete erection, adequate cleanliness and safe access in consideration of related engineering documents, such as P&IDs, SLD, wiring diagrams, system descriptions etc.

  • Ensuring compliance with EHS requirements for himself and co-workers.

  • Preparing site notes within the scope of supply, e.g. declaration as operational area after signed ECC.

  • Establishing isolations as required for PTW.

  • Clarifying interfaces to other parts of plant out of scope of supply.

  • Coordinating sub-contractors to ensure compliance with EHS requirements, site regulation and delivery of contractual scope of supply and services.

  • Preparing shift instructions for special situations or operational cases not covered by operation manual.

  • Contributing to time scheduling and updates.

  • Ensuring compliance with specification, good engineering praxis, applicable codes and legal requirements.

  • Ensuring compliance with contractually permitted limits for emissions.

  • Ensuring compliance with site regulations and PTW procedure.

  • Ensuring compliance with risk assessments.

  • Clarification of technical questions/problems with responsible parties.

  • Maintaining commissioning related punch items and driving their clearing.

  • Performing and documenting consistently maintenance activities according to supplier’s requirements.

  • Organizing and performing outage works.

  • Preparing commissioning related documentation including redline documentation and hand-over on time to commissioning management.

  • Performing training on the job for Employer’s operating personnel.

Our requirements

  • Master of Science/Bachelor Engineer: Mechanical Engineering.

  • Fluent command of the English language in writing and speaking (incl. technical).

  • Declared intention to live and work abroad for long period, 100% abroad occupancy.

The primary responsibility of a Proposal Engineer is to develop proposals on projects around the world regarding either gas turbines and centrifugal compressors or reciprocating compressors for Siemens Energy client base.
