Job Description

Communication is a key function to drive our transformation based on a shared purpose (internal communication), connect ourselves better with key stakeholders and protect our reputation (external communication). 

 

In Central Europe, the communication function is managed as a Communication Network that allows for effective collaboration between experts from different geographies and business lines.

 

The Country Communication Manager acts as:

 

 

  • support and consultant for the entity’s executives and leaders, 
  • editorial writer/content producer and project manager for internal and external communication, 
  • crisis communication coordinator and brand / reputation manager,
  • interface between Group, Business Lines, Cluster and Country on various communication matters, campaigns and programs - being a full member of the Cluster Communication Network. 

 

In detail, this job role includes:

 

 

  • Develop and implement a country communication plan in close alignment with AL Poland management board priorities and Central Europe Cluster communication strategy
  • Propose and drive communication initiatives (content, media, project management), e.g. safety first, various strategic change/transformation initiatives, internal HR campaigns 
  • Manage and publish the Polish editorial news content in the Central Europe intranet and on Air Liquide Poland website (editorial planning, content production in text and video, translations EN/PL, content management system; for website: non-business-related news only, as managed by Industrial Merchant Marketing team)
  • Animate and promote internal community engagement
  • Act as key contact for external media/journalists in Poland, eventually spokesperson for Air Liquide Poland, in/after alignment with Central Europe Communication Network
  • Sustain a strong crisis communication setup and manage crisis communication if necessary (in collaboration with Central Europe Communication Network),
  • Coordinate organization of external corporate events (fairs, seminars not organized by business lines or HR).
  • Support the Central Europe Communication Network tech team in the evolution of cluster-wide media and tools, e.g. the cluster intranet, regular pulse checks/quick surveys, external social media.

 

REPORTING LINE   

 

 

  • Hierarchically to the General Manager of AL Polska
  • Functionally to the Communication Director Central Europe Cluster based in Germany

 

TEAM     

       

  • Communication Manager in Poland is an autonomous position. You will be responsible for the communication scope "from A-Z". In addition, you will be a part of European Team

Key Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of professional experience either in Corporate Communications or Journalism
  • Sound knowledge of the function of communication, the public, media and digitisation
  • Experience in issue and topic management and crisis communication
  • Vivid language, creativity and experience in writing/producing target group-oriented texts and videos for digital storytelling
  • Experience in the management of corporate media and social media
  • High competence in project management and self organization
  • Language skills: Fluent in English and Polish
