Your responsibilities

An outstanding opportunity to join us in this role, the Executive Compensation Specialist is a human resources subject matter expert who will be involved in the communication, implementation, administration and reporting of deferred awards – stock and cash based instruments – granted under the Firm wide Share Plan on a global basis.

This will not only cover awards granted under the annual discretionary variable award process but also those granted to new hires into Credit Suisse where you will be supporting, advising our recruitment, business and HR colleagues for example on valuations, contract wordings, regulatory considerations.

You will grow in knowledge of the impact of the Remuneration Regulations to deferred awards which you will be required to ensure is applied correctly across a range of areas.

You will build and develop relationships with key stakeholders such as HR, Legal, Payroll, Financial Control supporting each with your subject matter expertise and providing analytics in support of policy and decision making across a range of strategic deliverables.

You will also provide key subject matter expertise to our current and former employees who are granted and receive settlement of deferred compensation.

Credit Suisse has a robust and global executive compensation team, covering the U.S., Switzerland, EMEA and APAC, and works closely with the global regulatory compensation team. Together, the executive compensation and regulatory compensation teams have approximately 25 members worldwide. The Executive Compensation team are at the centre of the group wide deferred compensation strategy with exposure to involved and complex themes inherent in the deferred award creation and administration. Our requirements

  • A university degree or equivalent education. Proven experience within a financial services industry is desirable but not essential.

  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).

  • Proficiency in Human Resource information management systems such an Oracle is desirable but not essential.

  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure

  • Strong analytical skills including attention to detail, approaching problems systematically and objectively, analyzing facts and evaluating options to draw sound conclusions whilst ensuring that guidance is sought when ambiguity is present.

  • Proven ability to grasp new concepts quickly and a desire to constantly learn.

  • A strongly positive, empathetic, dedicated personality who holds a can-do and proactive attitude to managing multiple challenging priorities and assignments ensuring effective organization and timeliness of deliverables.

  • A trustworthy team-mate with integrity and proven ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
