Continuous Improvement Specialist

Job description:

The Continuous Improvement Specialist’s role is to identify and drive improvements, simplifications and automation of end-to-end business processes together with Functional Leads. In your role, together with Continuous Improvement Management, you will facilitate the optimization and transformation of how services and solutions are delivered to the global organization together with service owners by applying AGILE and LEAN methodology.  
The Continuous Improvement Specialist drives the cultural change towards new ways of working based on data driven decisions, cross-functional collaboration, digital workforce and agile methodologies. We are continuously working towards improved ways of working, improving stakeholder relations and transforming GBS. For this we need your help, and adaptability and passion are crucial.
The job also includes ensuring our IT toolbox is fully utilized to support our people and processes. You will be facilitating and improving ways of working for our employees in both GBS and our internal customers in Maersk Drilling. This entails functional ownership of our IT service platforms (ServiceNow and others) including leading functional forums and pushing innovative initiatives together with our IT department.
This position will report into either the HR, Finance or Supply Chain function with a dotted line into the GBS Transformation Office.


  • Knowledge and minimum of 5 years’ experience working with continuous improvement
  • Trained in the Lean and Six Sigma Methodology, minimum Green Belt certified
  • The ideal candidate has strong and broad subject matter expertise either within Finance, HR or Supply Chain management
  • Strong customer focus and problem-solving capabilities
  • Stakeholder management skills, also at senior level (IT) mindset to identify where IT support/solutions are required
  • Knowledge working with the ServiceNow platform is preferred
  • Ability to influence and manage without authority in a matrix organisation Ability to handle high degree of ambiguity and quickly changing scope
  • Experience working in Scandinavian culture will be considered an advantage
