Contract Management AssociateNumer ref.: 217161

Main tasks:

  • Responsible for support in preparing and negotiating of contracts and Contract Lifecycle Management
  • Independent work and responsibility for processing of contract requests, contract editing, contract implementation as well as ensuring compliance with legal and Bayer internal regulations
  • Responsible for possible escalations of problematic contractual matters to the next instance
  • Based on requests by contract partners or internal clients, independent handling of contract revisions with the help of internal regulations
  • Overseeing legal content in playbooks and keeping it up to date as well as proactive refinement and improvement of Contract Center playbooks by means of documentation of required modifications and necessary efficiency measures, that are being detected while using the playbooks
  • Centrally data capturing of defined fields (contract content) for any new registered contracts based on scanned documents. Interprets, extracts and enters key contract data items into the contract database;
  • Data cleansing & data capturing of already included contracts or newly migrated contracts within repository
  • Executing changes (updates) in the registered contracts upon request for the defined fields;
  • Providing regular and ad hoc management reports and management information from the contract database;
  • Assisting to procurement department, pharmacovigilance department and other groups when there are questions or issues to help resolve;
  • Providing general assistance upon request by global to contract management;
  • Assisting with the development of new practices, processes and best practice sharing;
  • Following up contract data quality and consistence topics and notifies the contract owner.

Qualifications:

  • Law Degree
  • Very Good English skills in verbal and written form (min B)
  • Very Good German skills in verbal and written form (B2-C1)
  • practical experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
  • Work experience in a legal area
  • strong working relationships with stakeholders and project team members
  • Working knowledge of IT system and collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and between countries
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills demonstrating high degree of people and learning agility
  • Decision making and problem solving skills and ability to interface at senior level with third parties/ development partners
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive matters and discretion based on a knowledge and understanding of department objectives and company policies and procedures;
  • Time management skills (manage and priorities workload) while adapting to changes;
  • Excellent organizational / follow up skills and interpersonal skills along with verbal and written communication skills.
