Overall responsibility for the delivery of the contract on time, within budget and of excellent quality
Liaise with internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of the contract and to ensure optimum use of all resources available
Prepare contract budget for presentation to the senior team
Provide procurement schedule including identifying long lead items and documenting materials take-off
Work with the other relevant departments to produce a realistic programme for contract delivery and ensure that the programme is adhered to by all relevant personnel
Chair weekly project status review meeting with relevant departments.
Provide weekly reports on project progress for review by senior team.
Ensure the provision of all required contractual documents such as technical information, sign off sheets, as built & sample files.
Proactive approach in dealing with any complaints or any outstanding issues in an efficient and effective manner
Ensure correct manpower is allocated to the contract to meet with requirements and manage variances in manpower
Ensure that all travel and logistical arrangements are sufficient for delivery to be as per the Customer’s requirements
Manage all Contractual variances to include adequate recording of variances and obtaining agreement on price by liaising with the relevant Company personnel
Identify subcontractors and agree favourable subcontractor terms
Manage the performance of the sub-contractors to ensure delivery of the highest quality of work at all times
Manage site installation process and site teams effectively
Adherence to company KPI targets and ability to achieve same
Responsibility for the overall health and safety requirements involved in delivering the contract
Provide leadership and direction to Assistant Contract Managers and all employees involved in the delivery of the contract
Worldwide travel in accordance with the roles commercial functionality which will involve working for periods of time on sites throughout the world
All duties commensurate with the Job Title as directed by Management.
At least 5 years' experience working in the construction / fit out industry as a Contracts/ Projects Manager or in a related role
Competencies in spoken and written English language
Demonstrable ability to successfully manage the delivery of a project/contract from inception
Demonstrable ability to work on own initiative
Demonstrable leadership/ management skills and commercial awareness
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
It would be desirable but not essential if the candidate had experience working in the marine fit out industry.
