This position is responsible for oversight and on-schedule, on-budget delivery of assigned claim projects to ensure 100% internal and external customer satisfaction. Handling Construction Claims to ensure appropriate and timely coverage analysis, exposure recognition, reserve analysis and resolution of claims. May be a part of the project team or manage multiple small to medium size projects and associated project delivery staff or may be manager on a single large project.
Preparation of delay analyzes based on anticipated or materialized risks and disturbance - retrospective and prospective analyzes
Review and analyze construction claims and provide opinions, advice and reports as necessary on contractual entitlement and quantification of damages suitable for use in dispute resolution proceedings including: negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation.
Analyze contracts and subcontracts to determine parties’ responsibilities in light of disputes.
Scheduling and hands-on use of MS Project or Primavera software for project controls and evaluation of delays.
Report writing and preparation of charts and graphs to support and present analyses.
Conduct research, analysis and product development for all on-going projects.
2+ years related experience as a Claims Manager / Contracts Manager / Project Controls Manager or Claims Expert / Project Scheduler
5+ years experience in Construction / Industry / Engineering
Education - Masters degree preferable in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering but can be in another speciality with relevant experience in Construction / Industry / Engineering
MS Project – intermediate level, theory of programming known to candidate
English – at least B2 Level
Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
Strong analytical skills
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
FIDIC standards awareness
Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
