    AstraZeneca’s Finance function is continuing its transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations and insight.  Whilst a dedicated finance transformation programme is under way, the C2C Global Process Owner (GPO) team is highly involved to ensure we continue to move in the right direction. This role reports to the C2C GPO. The GPO team forms part of our Integrated Finance Services organisation and operates in a truly global capacity. 

    Decisions on further opportunities for standardising, optimising and automating our processes will be based on existing process metrics and this is where this role comes in.  When it comes to performance metrics, you’re an expert. You know how to extract the right data and information, and how to create meaningful reports.     This is a very visible role that will also involve designing, implementing and then tracking key metrics through performance scorecards and communicating the results to key stakeholders.     Main duties and responsibilities

    It will be down to you to deliver the key metrics for our global C2C process. Essentially, you’ll be updating our Global C2C Process Board and other key stakeholders with metrics about the health of the process so that issues can be identified quickly, and continuous improvement can be achieved.

    You’ll be key to ensuring we focus our attention on the parts of the C2C process that need improvement, based on facts and then following through and demonstrating the benefits that have been delivered out of our improvement projects. 

    It’s a very collaborative role – you’re going to be working with stakeholders across Information Services, Group Finance and Global Finance Operations to establish an appropriate suite of metrics that measure data quality, the stability of the infrastructure, the systems processing speed and the level of adherence to timetables.

    Efficiency is important here so you’ll look at how technology can deliver the metrics with minimal manual intervention. You can also expect to benchmark the metrics against external comparators as well as identifying trends, investigating them and proposing corrective actions if needed. On occasion, you might need to support our Global Process Leads with ad-hoc analysis.

    Essential requirements

    • A degree or equivalent professional qualification
    • Technical expertise in the extraction and reporting of performance metrics, knowledge of process design and a keen understanding of KPIs
    • Significant experience of global technology implementations
    • An excellent command of business English
    • The ability to manage multiple projects effectively
    • Proven experience of change management
    • A team-oriented approach
    • The ability to use a range of influencing techniques
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

    Desirable requirements

    • Specific industry and process experience, including benchmarking.
    • Significant experience of global technology implementations
    • Proven experience of change management

    This role can be based in our headquarters either in Cambridge, UK or Warsaw, Poland.
