Performance & Control Management team drives all risk, metrics, quality assurance and control related initiatives within Reference Data Operations globally. This team is responsible for managing, developing and monitoring key risk metrics and performing independent operational risk analyses, which are instrumental to risk and control oversight. This team assists the production teams in managing audit/regulatory examinations, RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment), SOX and other operational risk related processes and associated follow-up actions. This team also collaborates with the Global Risk Oversight functions, internal and external audit teams as Reference Data function’s trusted, key risk and metrics advisor.

In addition to the points mentioned above, your day-in-a-life in this role will include:

  • Establishing strategic end-end governance model for reference data services
  • Defining the right controls & metrics for this data and process governance
  • Create a risk & control culture that proactively considers downstream process impact & engagement
  • Measure and better manage upstream data input and relationships
  • Implementing the new governance framework for the following functions
  • Instrument Reference Data
  • Book Data
  • Account Data
  • Standard Settlements Instructions
  • Legal Linkage Keys
  • Gain a good understanding of the usage of Ref Data services within the bank
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key Ref Data stakeholders

  • BA/MA degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics or other Finance/Math related field is desirable
  • Approx. 10 years of overall work experience, pereferably in banking operations / risk / audit / control functions
  • Proven experience as a strategic planner or business consultant would be a strong asset
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage work in virtual teams and international environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to efficiently interact with senior business partners
  • Knowledge of banking and Reference Data financial instruments would be preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
