Control Tower Master Data Specialist

Play a pivotal role in managing, validating and maintaining master data on key platforms that drive optimal transport planning and execution, thereby driving the optimal performance of transport operations. Providing key input into process improvement in the different systems.

 

Main Accountabilities:

• Manage the updating and maintaining of Master Data in all required Transport Management Systems (TMS);
• Continuously audit and validate Master Data in TMS and amend accordingly;
• Communicate with all required stakeholders (Planners, Freight Expeditors, etc.) to validate new inputs regarding Master Data;
• Set up and manage processes and procedures on the management of Master Data;
• Draft and update SOP documents for processes and procedures for the maintenance of Master Data;
• Provide ongoing support to Control Tower Management in terms of data management and processes;
• Set up training manuals for staff on master data management;
• Provide ongoing training to all Control Tower staff on required Master data management in TMS;
• Provide recommendations to Control Tower Management on optimization opportunities identified during maintenance of Master Data;
• Ensure compliance to all policies and Standard Operating Procedures relating to Master Data input/maintenance;
• Provide Master Data input/maintenance training;
• Set up standard operating procedures based on the analysis done per site;
• Communicate effectively with all site /country teams to gather information and amend SOPs and provide training accordingly;
• Support the transport solutions team during the design phase for new business;
• New customer take on - process planning and implementation from a master data point of view;
• Team management.
