Control Tower Transport Analyst
This role will focus on the continious improvement of transportation efficiency throughout CEE through the reduction of costs, reducing DHL's carbon footprint and ultimately increase service excellence through analyzing transport delivery and supply chain processes and data to identify improvements and propose solutions that support the overall business strategy.
Main Accountabilities:
- To assist in the costing of solutions and benefits proposed;
- Collection and analysis of data;
- Identify areas of opportunity and problems within the transport environment;
- Determine & analyze all transport cost drivers to enable the effective daily management of efficient transport deliveries / collections to meet cost and operational KPI's;
- Build operational / cost models and run "what-if" analysis;
- Provide support to the transport operations teams within CEE to drive cost containment; and/or cost reductions, the development and reporting of comprehensive performance metrics to support initiatives;
- Be attuned to best practices and supply chain trends;
- Act as consultant to the transport solutions design teams during design phase for new business;
- Continuous auditing, analysis and modeling of the existing transport network;
- Be actively involved in and support change initiatives, be a change agent to drive the implementation of the business strategy within CEE transport;
- Translate defined strategies into specific goals, objectives and responsibilities;
- Set up standard operating procedures based on the analysis done per site;
- Achieve operational efficiency by identifying and addressing inefficiencies per site;
- Interface effectively with the site teams to gather information and build supply chain models;
- Support internal decision making processes by presenting accurate fact based information;
- Identifying and Implementing continuous improvement initiatives - Fleet models, SDA (Service delivery assignments) analysis, Volume smoothing;
- Support TMS through identifying and coordinating improvements to current systems;
- Support all projects as determined by management;
- Achieve agreed cost targets determined by each project.
Requirements:
- Fully compliant with required legislation;
- Transport experience;
- Strong and effective organisational skills;
- Ability to review and analyse data, report / present on findings;
- Advanced excel, word and PowerPoint experience, Technical aptitude in the use of a variety of supporting tools (Power BI, etc.);
- Transport routing / planning experience;
- Transport operational experience;
- Transport Management Systems experience including route planning and optimization tools;
- Ability to demonstrate analytical and logical thinking;
- Good analytical and numerical skills;
- Good written and oral communication.
