Your responsibilities

  • Define and translate the commercial strategy into a well-adapted sales and marketing plan with clear ownership for delivering key growth initiatives, building capabilities and delivering enhanced value propositions.

  • Provide thought leadership, develop and recommend a growth strategy for CPE Poland.

  • Establish and manage a team to develop and deploy a go to market plan with well adapted execution of a portfolio of growth initiatives.

  • Lead, shape and develop the innovation pipeline/program within CPE Poland and collaborate with the research and development teams to deliver good outcomes.

  • Lead or participate in other business development and strategy projects as required.

  • Responsible for developing the structure, overall volume and margin growth of CPE Poland through marketing alliances.

  • Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience.

  • Experience or familiarity with operating businesses in Europe.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Confirmed experience in mergers and acquisitions.


  • 15+ years’ experience in business management, with exposure to both B2B and B2C businesses.

  • Experience or familiarity with operating businesses in Poland.

  • Validated ability to deliver business results through matrix/virtual/geographically diverse teams.

  • Retail food experience.

  • Experience in M&A and business turn-around or rapid growth situations.

  • Food or agriculture industry knowledge and market dynamics.

  • Confirmed ability to motivate change in a complex organization with contending priorities.

  • Business experience, preferably in commercial, business development or strategic marketing.

  • Experience of developing and delivering full marketing plans from strategic to operational elements and commercializing new products/solutions.

    Job Purpose and Impact

    The Country Director Poland leads the protein business in Poland and is part of the Cargill Protein Europe (CPE) leadership team. The business has revenues of about Euro 250 million and a workforce of c1800. The business is largely diversified with a presence in processing poultry products, sales through branded and private label retail and foodservice suppliers, and exports to the EU. The Country Director is accountable for delivering a growth strategy and is measured by earnings and capital efficiency targets through leadership in a matrix organisational structure.

    Our location preference is Slupca (closest city is Poznan). We would also consider candidates who can commit to 4 days a week in our facilities.
