    The European marketing team develops concepts and projects influencing all our 9 European business units (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ireland and Russia), and still working closely with our global colleagues in North America and Canada.
     
    Content is at the heart of what we do in Marketing at Circle K. As part of our next phase of growth we want to expand our content proposition and we are looking for an experienced individual who knows how to work with strategic content creation and has a passion for social media and technology.
     
    We’re not looking for a traditional copywriter who just so happens to know how to publish on social, we’re looking for an individual who understands modern culture and how social platforms are now an integral part of our everyday lives.

    YOUR KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work closely with the Digital Director, Convenience Marketing and Category Directors to define and co-create digital content strategies
    • Conceptualize ideas that are fresh and work collaboratively to bring these to life using the latest approaches to copy, art and code
    • Lead the content writing aspect of creative projects developing human-centric copy that deepens user and brand experience across all digital touch points
    • Lead creative production teams to prepare, deploy and optimize high quality content
    • Apply the latest digital trends to writing and content publishing with particular focus on a mobile-only mindset
    • Inform and inspire colleagues on the power of digital content to create excellent brand experiences for our consumers
    • Engage in effectiveness measurement of digital content and work to continually improve content performance
    • Carry out quality assurance of all copy & content at key stages in project development and content creation
    • Set up content sharing mechanisms to ensure content gets used across European Business Units. 

    EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

    • 3–5 years experience as a Content Developer / Copywriter in an in-house role or agency environment  
    • Be fully confident on how to manage and deploy content on social channels
    • Be fluent in concepting and developing content for all digital channel types
    • The ability to write in different styles, simultaneously bringing freshness and consistency to projects
    • Pro-active and collaborative approach with a ‘can do’ mindset and easygoing attitude
    • Cultural and creative curiosity and a knack for spotting trends and interpreting their relevance for Circle K
    • Excellent communication/presentation skills with the ability to present ideas, copy and content
    • The ability to manage different concepts and projects simultaneously and maintain quality standards
    • Experience working with multiple production environments. Ideally bring portfolio of contacts in the production space either as freelancers or in smaller agency set-up
    • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
