Your responsibilities
Responsibilities
Vision and strategy
Take ownership of the creative vision and the standard of output across the department
Work with senior leadership to adjust the visual identity based on current market trends and customer behavior to drive consistency and impact
Project management
Lead multiple projects from conception to completion and develop design solutions that support our business objectives
Work with the graphic and motion designers to develop ideas for promotional campaigns and pitch new creative concepts
Oversee the design and development of the Frontiers design system
Work with UX and brand teams to help author, refine and deploy a best-in-class design language
Work closely with our innovation team to ensure UX contributes to and helps inform our overall identity
Oversee the collaboration with developers to create and maintain coded components that align to our design language for our library
Provide quality control over all design outputs
Oversee the communication with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to validate design initiatives
Define and monitor key metrics, including analytics and user research, to assess and report back on the performance and impact of creative initiatives
Oversee and track the annual budget and ensure it is fully maximized
Team management
Lead a cross functional team to provide designers, engineers and PMs with the tools and knowledge they need to effectively use the design system in their work
Develop team goals and objectives, monitor team performance and professional development, and conduct annual appraisals
Our requirements
A degree in a visual or experiential design discipline or equivalent professional experience
Ten or more years of experience as a senior-level designer in a corporate environment or a medium to large creative agency
Extensive supervisory experience leading brand, visual, and user experience/product design of projects, across both web and mobile platforms
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting, supporting the teams in synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete initiatives
Wide-ranging customer design experience and familiar with UI and UX trends
A track record creating, developing, and deploying a design system at scale
Confident working in a technical context, with a deep understanding of the product development process
Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions clearly and effectively to stakeholders and internal teams
A creative and strategic thinker
