Your responsibilities
Manage and lead the Credit Management on a day-to-day basis. (market: NA Direct)
Monitor and improve collections actions
Mange risk by monitor credit lines, orders release, collections, disputes, etc and notify upper management about any potential of losses
Act as a focal and escalation point for Team
Supervise and supports daily operations of Team’s scope
Collect payments from customers and daily control of checks/wire transactions
Reconcile customer accounts to identify disputes, overpayments, generate journal entries and oversee offsetting of credits and debits
Communicate with product sales departments, branch plants, field sales, and service personnel to resolve customer disputes
Classify past due accounts for monthly reporting to management
Make recommendations to management on accounts or items that are potentially uncollectible
Support less experienced team members with daily duties
Measures and monitors team performance targets to ensure that these targets (KPI’s) and objectives are met
Establish a strong service culture whereby high levels of customer and business satisfaction are achieved continuously
Participate in the internal and external audits
Management reporting, monitoring service levels and ensuring commercial effectiveness
Maintains and improves data quality and integrity, continuously strives to reduce, and eliminate errors
Participating in global and regional initiatives and CI projects
Ready to support Team/Business in a second shift till 10 am (if needed)
Our requirements
Very good knowledge of financial accounting (experience or education)
Minimum 2 years of experience in the finance area of accounting or credit risk/ credit collection
Previous experience in team management is an advantage
Relevant University degree preferred - Accounting or Finance or equivalent education
Fluent English
Very good knowledge of SAP
Very good analytical skills
Very good knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office tools
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Flexibility to work within a changing environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with people at all levels in a multicultural environment
