The primary responsibility is to support the CRM team to ensure customer risk is appropriately assessed, managed and mitigated in accordance with Mastercard’s policies & procedures and risk appetite framework. This includes, but is not limited to:
Leveraging data points and analysis to be provided by the junior analysts, complete the preparation of commercial underwriting documents including review of customer’s financial statements & ownership structure to prepare underwriting documents (presentations, memos) for further review by our global team of risk managers;
Perform the legwork on customer terminations (ensure internal checks are performed before collateral is eventually released) before handing over to risk managers;
Coordinate credit rating agencies enquiries;
CRMS (Customer Risk Management System) Testing;
Help prepare external and internal CRM-related reporting (SEC filing, audit committee, ad hoc reporting);
Support cross-functional initiatives to deliver on risk goals, policies and procedures requiring credit risk data analytics inputs;
Participate in various process improvement initiatives and best practices sharing;
Ad hoc analytics, interface with treasury advanced data analysts to seek automation when requests become recurrent
At least a graduate degree in business, economic, econometric or equivalent with working experience
Proven Experience in credit risk assessment and financial statements analysis; experience in / knowledge of the banking sector are a strong plus;
Any coding language (VBA, Phyton, R, SQL) a plus;
Accuracy, self-drive, accountability and sense of urgency;
Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills;
Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint user;
Positive attitude, strong work-ethic and good sense of humor

The primary responsibility of the Analyst is to provide support to the risk managers and senior management to help manage Mastercard’s Customer Risk Management function in the region. The role also involves partnering with our Corporate Treasury central team and Settlement Operations teams to assist with any CRM data validation or CRM system testing.
Mastercard has approximately $48B in credit exposure to financial institutions and other counterparties worldwide, placing the CRM role as a key part of its evolving and quickly growing business model.
