Your responsibilities
Working with the team, the Credit Control officer will be responsible for supporting London-based credit officers and maintaining a robust credit risk monitoring and control environment in accordance with global CRM policies and procedures.
Primary duties include:
* Enforcement of credit policies and control frameworks
* Ad-hoc investigation of Credit Exposure figures and calculations
* Analysis and investigation of the daily exception reports and compilation of credit limit breaches
* Analysis of credit risk system data feeds
* Assistance in preparation of data feed specifications and the running of user tests
* Production of and commentary on regular MIS reporting for the credit risk and business unit management
* Review of regulatory reports for accuracy and completeness
* Production of ad-hoc and recurring Credit Risk Reports
* Collaboration with our global credit management teams in New York, London, and Asia

Our requirements
A graduate degree in finance, administration, economics or in a similar discipline, or equivalent work experience
2+ years of proven financial industry experience, ideally in a control type of role
Keen interest to get in-depth understanding of credit risk management practices
Good attention to detail, have a strong appreciation of controls and be capable of applying control principles to a wide variety of situations
Self-motivated, resourceful, demonstrate good judgment and a willingness to “get into the details”
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English)
Basic knowledge of financial products traded by investment banks
Demonstrated experience at managing senior stakeholders
Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage conflicting priorities
Demonstrated ability to implement and monitor operational controls
Effective at working in teams. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure
Having the following qualifications would be an advantage:
Proven exposure to credit risk management
Some experience of credit and/or trading systems (front and back-office, including INSIGHT and CARAT)
Familiarity with reporting tools such as MS Access and SQL
Proficiency in using MS Excel
Understanding of Credit Risk Management in investment banks
