CTO Vendor Governance is looking for a Contract Governance Manager to implement best practices and provide ongoing formal governance within its outsource managed capacity and service agreements.  The individual will be responsible for the day to day governance for several existing relationships and will be an integral member of the team to assist with overall management of CTO's current and future managed service  / managed capacity relationships.

  • Perform global management of managed service transactions during the operational run of the managed service infrastructure agreements
  • Lead standardized governance meetings in accordance with best practices in areas such as invoice review and validation, service performance management, change control, issue management, project management, communication management/education, etc
  • Creation of executive review materials / presentations and participate / present in review meetings with senior CS and supplier management teams (CTO MC level)
  • Manage the relationships to preserve anticipated business cases and  tracking of the various financial models to identify savings for the life of the agreement within the dynamic environment
  • Ensure compliance with CTO standards on managing contracts and governance to monitor executed contracts
  • Collaborate and work closely with end business owners and operations teams to ensure that the right scope of services are delivered with the appropriate service level attainment
  • Ensure that the managed service agreements are updated as necessary to reflect current business needs (e.g. updates to service levels, in-scope services, etc.)
  • Manage change control and project processes  to allow modifications to existing contracts, manage renewals, terminations, renegotiations and short-term business needs
  • Work closely with the CTO stakeholders, Sourcing and Vendor Management, Legal  to ensure that all T’s and C’s/templates and final negotiation positions are aligned with lessons learned and best practices so as to enable ease of implementation during the operational run of the agreement/Governance
  • Work within CTO Vendor Governance team to identify tactical and strategic opportunities to reduce cost, improve productivity and quality of services delivered by key suppliers. Take ownership of and manage the resolution of key opportunities to maximize value from contracts through consolidation of contracts, services, delivery methodology as appropriate
  • Develop and manage risk management and governance health checks to ensure compliance with CS policies, internal audit and external regulatory requirements
  • Support and implement the CTO Vendor Governance governance, protocols and standards on a global, regional and local basis, as required and act as an 'agitator' to understand current business needs and look for savings
  • Work with CTO management on enabling CTO strategies and objectives where these impact or are dependent upon key suppliers
  • Collaborate with other key enablers/partners  e.g. Legal, Finance and Sourcing and Vendor Management to ensure all upstream and downstream processes are executed in support of required deployments and ensure that CTO is aware of any associated requirements

A. Hard Skills:

  • A solid background in managed services / outsourced procurement and governance
  • Prior history supporting complex multinational transactions
  • Prior work  experience and exposure to key industry players (e.g. Accenture, Cognizant, Tata, Wipro, BT, HP, IBM etc.)
  • Knowledge and prior work supporting the IT function
  • Prior work experience within financial services and/or a similar regulated industry
  • Experience optimizing spend within a managed services /outsourcing / shared services environment
  • Excellent logic skills and problem solving capabilities so as to be able to think about the downstream consequences
  • Ability to manage efforts when there are multiple divergent constituents / interests involved in a program who each have different desired outcomes

B. Soft skills:

  • Team player who can collaborate across multiple functional areas
  • A solid negotiator with the ability to work successfully with a large, diverse and demanding set of clients from the front office and the development technology functions
  • Experience managing international teams in high cost and low-cost locations
  • An adaptable individual who remains focused on delivering a long term plan
  • Conscientious and detail orientated, able to recognise compliance / non-compliance in a complex environment and act on findings
  • Must be dedicated, driven and flexible to the changing dynamics of an operational function
  • A good communicator who can write and speak clearly, concisely, and convincingly
  • Manage through influence and drive programs through a matrix managed organization
  • A self-starter capable of designing and implementing services
  • Entrepreneurial and innovative capability
  • Demonstrates a solid client focus
  • Solid mediation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to coordinate teams and to manage complex logistics
  • Demonstrates good teamwork and communication/ information sharing
  • Efficient operation management capabilities (e.g. six-sigma) to mange continuous improvement and cost optimization programs


  • A BS/BA degree
  • At minimum of 3 years direct working experience related to the commercial side of managed service / outsourced  agreements
  • A minimum of 3 years direct working experience in IT managed service agreement
  • A minimum of 5 years supporting a bank or financial services institution
  • Experience managing and developing staff
