The Customer Relationship Lead (CRL) as part of the Area/ Region Pillar within the R&A Team is an ambassador for Global R&A Strategy driving business enlightenment, through technology, innovation and thought leadership. The CRL provide support to Regions Finance teams in their respective regions by enabling them on how to leverage the Global Reporting Solution and strategy
 
The Customer Relationship Lead will build strong teaming relations with the management and operations regional finance leaders’ part of the regions he/she is supporting. CRL will have a key role to establish the brand in CESA and also engage with stakeholders across the regions to prepare them for the Mercury implementation. This is a highly visible role, and key to success will be the relationships he/she develops with stakeholders across a complex matrix.
 
 
This role suits someone with experience in driving significant change, understanding finance and analytics concepts and managing transformational challenges. He/she should be able to think strategically and demonstrate a pragmatic and can do mind set. The CRL should thrive in working collaboratively with different stakeholders and focusing on promoting and leveraging best practices across regions and delivering trusted business advisor support.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Support CESA practice and Service Lines and provide up to date pro-active assistance in their reporting needs
  • Establish good relationship and work closely with the designated Region Reporting Finance (RRF) contacts to promote global reporting operating support model and to understand business requirements
  • Reviews, analyzes and dispositions of Mercury reporting requirements for future wave countries and perform fit/gap analysis against the requirements
  • Work together with Region Finance teams to understand business requests, and use the internal CoE processes to move forward any request which may be developed. Discuss with subject matter experts in the Mercury Core team process and the R&A function (Delivery team) to decide on the preferred method of providing/reporting that information
  • Collaborate with the local and Global legal, statutory, tax and regulatory (LSTR) team to understand the requirements
  • Work with regional teams to build the reporting functional specifications for identified and approved gaps
  • Review LSTR requirements in conjunction with other CRLs to gain synergy benefits through global alignment
  • Engage in discussion with subject matter experts within COE Pillars to agree on which reporting tool will be the best solution for the requirement
  • Proactively works with subsequent wave countries within the Region for Mercury readiness and implementation efforts
  • Leverages reports developed across regions to drive standardization
  • Become an ambassador for Global R&A and promote global mind-set through progressive debate, determination and play the role of the first change management filter in CESA and Globally
  • Work closely with the others CRL CoE and willingness to share with other Region CRLs relevant information for both Mercury and non-Mercury reporting items
  • Add value by contributing valuable trusted business advisory support in terms of the information and messages that will be the most beneficial to display in the report/analysis
  • Build strong relationships with global and regional leadership and play a key role in driving report simplification and standardisation
  • Build a strong advising and collaborative culture that encourages teaming, knowledge sharing, and pride in delivering ECS (Exceptional Client Service)
  • Participate in leading coaching and development initiatives for newly CoE recruited teams
  • Focus on ways to influence and improve the support to our costumers
  • The ideal candidate should have ideally worked in a senior Finance role in CESA or CESA Service Line and have a good understanding of the types of management information that is needed to operate a regional business or service line. The preferred candidate should also have a proven record of managing a team of people, and with strong project and change management experience
This is a permanent role required to support Mercury implementation for the CESA countrie during the Wave 4B, 5B and 6A . After Mercury deployment in CESA, the candidate will continue to support ongoing reporting requirements of CESA during the Hypercare period and will potentially provide significant support to subsequent waves where they are expected to be in a more established and steady state.  Ideally this role has to be fulfil by November / December to be ready early 2020 for CESA North.

  • Dynamic personality, with knowledge and drive to implement the change principles contained in the Global Reporting Vision and Strategy
  • Deliver Exceptional Client Service (ECS) to stakeholders across the business and finance providing timely and accurate information and reccomendations to support decision making.
  • Assess the requests from the regions and evaluates the business criticality and need with constant focus standartization and simplification .
  • Professional and  diplomatic capabilities to manage customers’ expectations in an appropriate manner in line with the Global reporting strategy 
  • Able to work both autonomously to achieve project goals as well as in a team environment with minimum direction and supervision
  • Leverage reporting system and finance expertise to prepare the discussion, make a judgment on the topics to pick up and form a view on what needs to be discussed and resolved with the costumers. 
  • Apply logical approach to problem solving such that the end-solution is delivered to the customer’s satisfaction

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Experience of working in CESA practice or CESA Service Line finance. Mercury knowledge will be an asset
  • A proven track record of providing excellent costumer service, a quality improvement-oriented and customer orientated professional approach
  • Candidates ought to have knowledge of the existing My Business and R&A COE reports
    Ideally the candidate should be very familiar with legacy system and should also have knowledge of SAP reporting capabilities
  • Prior knowledge of Mercury is not required but would be an advantage for this role
  • Ability and flexibility to work in a virtual environment across multiple time zones
  • A quick learner in order to keep up with the changes to technology, tools and processes
  • Excellent listening skills to provide focused advice, coming with the ability to apply judgment and seek guidance from the Area CRL when needed
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deliver outputs within strict deadlines
  • Strong communication and partnering skills with people of all levels of the firm
  • Highly effective at virtual teaming and influencing skills
  • A successful track record of implementing business change initiatives

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a reporting and analysis role, preferable supporting various level of reporting team within E&Y
  • We are looking for dynamic candidates who have the confidence and drive to lead a significant change and deliver a new reporting model and organization structure
  • The successful candidate will need excellent communication skills and be good at building relationships. This is because this role will involve liaising with a wide range of contacts and keeping that network informed and briefed on decision points and developments will be critical
  • The goal is to provide a customer focused service and hence the person will need to have had a good track record of providing a high quality level of customer service in previous roles
  • This role requires potentially 20% of travel in the first 6 months that should go down to 5-10% on ad-hoc basis
